| Temple of the Dog – Pushin' Forward Back Lyrics | 6 years ago |
|
The Album Temple of the Dog was dedicated to Andrew Wood the frontman of Mother Love Bone (Note the Mother reference in the song and the Dog reference in the band album title.) This track deals with the heroin addiction that killed Andrew. Mother in the title is referencing the group Mother Love Bone and the group's dealing with Andrew's addiction. Heroin is known as Mother's milk to addicts so there's a double tie-in. (Note: the Red Hot Chili Pepper's album of the same name, Anthony Kiedis had been dealing with his addiction.) |

| Alice in Chains – Put You Down Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Again it's another song about the music industry. It's about selling out for fame and fortune and the addiction of it. Wanting to kick but somehow not being able to. It's not about a girl, it's not about drugs, it's about fame "I can see what the cost will be You know I don't need you I just can't put you down I can see what it all means to me Honey I don't need you I just can't put you down" "Everything you buy is for the jingle Every time you lie it's all the same And if you need a rhyme to kill the singer Shoot me dead before I may be through" |

| Alice in Chains – Sunshine Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
it's about the music industry and selling out. "Am I too contagious Full of sick desire" Was the desire to become a success ruinous? Love's labor not turning out the way they wanted. "Then some dude came down to touch the mother" music industry wanker stepped in. "Brand across the back" Music industry trying to make them what they aren't. "Memory set me free yeah I don't care no more Mother please come for me" Things were simpler and more pure back then. |

| AC/DC – The Razor's Edge Lyrics | 13 years ago |

The Razor's Edge is death. The rest is inconsequential. Or it could have something to do with Malcolm's alcohol addiction and his recovery prior to and during the making of the album. |
