Where in the lyrics does it imply that Former Lee is a cannibal? I've heard this cannibal interpretation before, but I don't understand where it comes from. |

Great driving lyrics with imagery that accurately conveys the emotion (or lack thereof). Extreme apathy blues with a nihilistic edge. |

"I laugh a dark laugh, you smile and think about it" is an incredible line expressing all the dark secrets two lovers would know of each other. Truly genius!! |

A wonderful and classical lament of a lover losing the other in death and yearning to be together again. The house being a constant reminder of this loss and a catalyst for this yearning. It's a brilliant poem. |

This reminds me of William Carlos Williams' "The Wheelbarrow". He must've been a fan! |

Again, Jandek displays some serious technical chops in poetics. Absolutely phenomenal lyrics in a seemingly cut-and-paste method, repeating certain lines in an incredibly musical fashion. Truly remarkable stuff. |

Good rhythmic lyrics very simply stated and based on a real life experience that everyone can relate to. I think of William Carlos Williams when I read Jendek's lyrics. There's a method to the madness, trust me. |

| Jandek – God Came Between Us Lyrics

Another excellent lyric, full of rhythm, music and PURPOSE. We blame God for our shortcomings because that's how He made us. We hide our sins in the night where 'nobody'd ever see us' because God created a night for us to hide in. It all makes perfect sense. Thanks, Jandek, for enlightening me. It's the lyrics that compell us to listen to this madness, I'm tellin' ya. |

| Jandek – Frozen Beauty Lyrics

The narrator mourns the death of a lover that he has murdered and reflects on how she changed his world. The narrator still perceives the lover as alive and able to help him 'reclaim' his life by the reassurance her 'frozen image' somehow provides him. Jandek's lyrics can ramble, but they are deliberate and written with purpose and style. Very Freudian. |

Specific names of people and places always make lyrics more interesting, regardless of what they mean. Inspired by a personal relationship with a woman and how he has to once again 'drive away' from the whole tiresome experience. Based on a particular memory, I concur. |

A forlorn spirit reflects on an abandoned life and childhood memories that can no longer be relived. Reminds me of "I See The Boys Of Summer In Their Ruin", by Dylan Thomas. Not sure if the forlorn spirit is actually DEAD. |
