I don't why I had this sort of epiphany but, "Your cold feet." you get cold feet before a wedding. Maybe it's from the perspective of a girl being left at the Alter by a man she still clearly loves and she's just contemplating their relationship and accepting how he will not come back. But she still loves him and would take him back so in the end it's just whether he wants her or not. . |

| I personally think, this is a song about proposing to his girlfriend, he's a asking her to marry him. Three rounds and a sound is a custom in China for newly weds, four gifts as mentioned before. He keeps using analogies to show that he was, in a way, incomplete before her (I was swimming...it was, soil and....and you know me). so I think it's about this guy saying she is the one that completes him and makes him betyer than he ever was and they should get married. | |

This reminded me of the doctor and Amy from the first listen so I was pretty shocked that other people feel the same. It is eerily similar. "Come sit on my wall" could be a reference to the first time they met when Amy had a crack in her wall. Also "Nothing unusual, nothing's changed Just a little older that's all" could easily mean how the doctor came back to a older Amy 12 years later. Who knows maybe Damien Rice is an inspired whovian lol. |

| I think this song is quite simply about a boy and a girl knowing each other from childhood and fighting all the time. They probably found eachother really annoying and in the lighter sense, 'hated each other'. But as they grow up they start having these moments and now the boy (Ed) is confused, does he love the girl he hated all his life? He has these new sensations, feelings and responds to her touch or if she looks a him. It's a very sweet song all in all about the changes that come in our lives with growing up and Ed's beautifully put it through the eyes of a newcomer in the young adult world (as I presume) | |

This song is just so god damn beautiful. It talks about a phase everyone crosses in life and about hope and not giving up, it's perfect. Something about you Its just the way you move The way you move me. these are just some lines that make you smile, john just knows how to hit the right string sometimes. I'm so good at forgetting And I quit ever game I play But forgive me, love I cant turn and walk away She broke up with him for a reason so now that he is back he's probably saying that, he'll give up whatever she wants him to and be the man of her dreams and much more, but sadly he won't be able to turn away from her anymore. Should have smiled in that picture If its the last that Ill see of you Its the least that you Could not do. This line makes me sad. Knowing that it was probably the last time he could share a moment with her that would last forever, but he didn't even bother smiling, maybe 'cause he was in a bad mood or they were fighting, and it doesn't matter anymore what it was because thier she is right beside him looking beautiful smiling and it just kills him 'cause he let her go so he's telling her, he wished she wasn't smiling to make it easier on him. Young and full of running tell me where is that taking me just a great figure eight or a tiny infinity. In this he says that at one point of time he was very young,lively and carefree but this has just taken him in circles over and over again. love is really nothing but a dream that keeps waking me for all of my trying we still end up dying how can it be? I really don't get this verse so if anyone has any interpretations please do tell me. don't say a word just come over and lie here with me cause I'm just about to set fire to everything I see. In da end of da last verse he asked a question but then he tells her to not bother with it, and just come over, proving that they have either broken up or they're living apart. He kind of threatens her i think bt saying dat if u don't come this place will burn because of my desire (the fire is obviously metaphorical).
