Jimmy Buffett – Growing Older But Not Up Lyrics | 9 years ago |
There used to be words missing. I see somebody edited the original. |
Toadies – I Come from the Water Lyrics | 10 years ago |
That makes a lot of sense, actually. |
Sheryl Crow – Not Fade Away Lyrics | 11 years ago |
"originally by Rolling Stones"???? LOL! WRONG................ |
Naughty by Nature – O.P.P. Lyrics | 11 years ago |
You know it starts with P, so it's got to be "peanest". duh. |
David Soul – Black Bean Soup Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I think this song is about black bean soup. And why not? it's so yummy... |
Kay Kyser – (I Got Spurs That) Jingle, Jangle, Jingle Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm pretty sure the last line of each chorus is "And that song ain't so very far from wrong", which gives it the opposite meaning. |
Kay Kyser – (I Got Spurs That) Jingle, Jangle, Jingle Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm pretty sure the last line of each chorus is "And that song ain't so very far from wrong", which gives it the opposite meaning. |
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Chocolate Pudding Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Call me crazy, but I think this song is about chocolate pudding. |
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – Chocolate Pudding Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Call me crazy, but I think this song is about chocolate pudding. |
Local H – High-Fiving MF Lyrics | 11 years ago |
"Moose rut"? I'm pretty sure it's "Male-bonding as you strut". |
Jimmy Buffett – Growing Older But Not Up Lyrics | 12 years ago |
There's some lines missing in the last verse. Something about "physical fitness". But what I really want to know is what the hell is a hum drum? |
Neil Young – After the Gold Rush Lyrics | 12 years ago |
ah. now it all makes sense. |
U2 – Desire Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Unless there's a version that I haven't heard yet, I'm pretty sure some of these lyrics are wrong. For one, I believe the first line is "Lovers, out on the street". But that's minor. The last part, I believe, goes: She's a goddess, She's my possession. Yeah she's the promise In your collection. .... For love of money money money (etc) Yeah the Fever getting higher Desire. |
Train – Drive By Lyrics | 12 years ago |
More likely the hefty bag is a condom. |
Pearl Jam – Daughter Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's also in the Everclear song "Everything to Everyone", but I can't be bothered to look up which one came first. I doubt it's an original for either of them though. It's probably in some old obscure poem somewhere. |
System of a Down – Will They Die 4 You? Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"Quiche like the pie"? seriously??? I'm pretty sure it's more something like "How many get the keys, they can ride with you" Not sure about the "they can" part, but pretty sure about the rest. |
System of a Down – Toxicity Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I always thought he was saying "tire hose", like, having tunnel vision and not seeing the big picture. |
Bloodhound Gang – Fire Water Burn Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Hmm, and I always assumed he was referring to the Frank Black character on X-Files. After all in another song, "Bad Touch" they have a line about watching X-Files, so I figure he's a fan. |
Sublime – April 29, 1992 Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Anybody know why the album has "(Miami)" in the title? |
Kevin Rudolf – Let It Rock (feat, Lil Wayne) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Well since nobody else has said it yet, and it seems to be obligatory on this site, I'm gonna have to say that this song is OBVIOUSLY about gay butt-sex. What else could "the fire" be if not hemmoroids? It's so obvious. |
Kevin Rudolf – Let It Rock (feat, Lil Wayne) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree, to me it sounds like he is saying "What the saints forgot" |
Third Eye Blind – Semi-Charmed Life Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Random thoughts: "Crystal Meth" would be a great name for a porn star. Well, maybe spell it "Christal". I love how the line "Doing Crystal Meth will lift you up until you break" ties in to "And you hold me / And we're broken" Last night I watched a movie called "The Salton Sea" which reminds me a lot of this song. They should have used this song somewhere in the soundtrack, in fact. A big part of the movie was the lifestyle described in this song, although I don't know if the drug in the movie was meth specifically. Look for a cameo appearance by Josh Todd if you watch it. That made me smile. |
Third Eye Blind – Semi-Charmed Life Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"In the place we used to start" Now that you mention it, I'm surprised the original poster left it out of these lyrics. |
Violent Femmes – Kiss Off Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree, I'm pretty sure he's saying "Nine cuz I lost count" |
New Order – Blue Monday Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Yeah now that I'm reading them, it makes a lot of sense if this song is about someone who had a big impact on your life and then committed suicide. |
New Order – Bizarre Love Triangle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
he's saying that you said the words that he couldn't say. |
New Order – Bizarre Love Triangle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
LOL! Hilarious! |
Weezer – My Name Is Jonas Lyrics | 12 years ago |
er Jonah. typo. |
Weezer – My Name Is Jonas Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Except that the character in the Bible was Johah. Not Jonas. |
Weezer – Pork and Beans Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Am I the only one who thinks it's: "Oakley makes the shades in Transformers 2"? |
Weezer – Falling For You Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Yeah but how can he see the stars if he's in the basement??? |
David Bowie – Young Americans Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Nope, he played sax on some of his other songs, but on Young American, as any sax player will instantly be able to tell you, the sax is played by David Sanborn. |
