In interviews BJA has said that this and 'Sprout' are the most autobiographical of the songs on this album.... and from what else he has said about his upbringing and 'changing worldview' I think this is effectively about becoming agnostic but being happy with that choice "Though I’ve left the fold, my feet will find a hold" "No longer can I call a home, the place I’ve known so well" |

Sure I've read an interview where Josh says this is about going out on a tour of California and it not being too successful "California doesn't seem to think I'm ready yet" Thankfully for us all he is able to add: "I'll be back when I'm good and ready" "I'll be back and I'll bring the sun to shine" |
