Josiah Leming – Silly Fly Lyrics 14 years ago
Josiah said on Voice of America that this song is simply about a fly trying to get to a light. he was sitting in his room in his apartment and saw a fly trying to get at the light bulb. so he wrote about how he would never get what he came for. how told the fly's whole journey lol :)
this is my interpretation

The Beatles – Girl Lyrics 14 years ago
this song is not about an actual girl, 'girl' is slang for coke. the Beatles were not upfront about their drug usage so they hid meanings in a buuunch of their songs. Ringo had the biggest coke problem out of them all, but what McCartney was trying to get across is that he cant live without his drug. the 'sighing' or 'smoking', some might say, at the end of the chorus is them blowing lines.

Josiah Leming – Paper Houses Lyrics 14 years ago
This is a song of pure hopelessness, and feeling of chaos. This feels like dejavu, everyone feels like this at some point in there life or another. He could be talking about a number of things, but listen to the beginning of each verses and compare it to what it sounds like towards the end. in the beginning, it's all upbeat and sounds happy, but by the end, it sounds sad and feels really emotional. no one can sleep because of life's harsh reality. there's a huge collection of emotions in this song, think about how someone might feel with being over burdened and having to see your hopes fall like glass and breaking. and wishing for something that you know will never happen. "papercuts they split the sea to dry the sands that freedom bring" which means all the hurt that has accumulated over life, is worth the freedom you know is coming. there has to be reliefe at some point....but then he realizes that it's no use and he's learned his lesson about having hope. because they'll never see the land of which they dream. this is my interpretation

Josiah Leming – Her Lyrics 14 years ago
He's talking about a girl who he fell in love with who he finally realized he was never going to be good enough for. "empty hallways, and you can't get to me. open doorways but your still searching for your key. and i can't open the ears for which i sing, so i'll just pass along and maybe you'll start to hear me"...i think means things that were so easy and obvious, she never saw and were too busy searching for something that would help...when all she needed to do was listen to him. he felt alone and like he tryed so hard to hold on when she gave up and was unsatisfied after he put so much effort forth. "so you try to satisfy the hours" as in you make the best of what's going on now, but all together, what do you really feel about it? "Satisfaction seems to be the key that turns the air we breathe. It brings us now so confidently crawling on our knees" as is all she cared about was what she could get from him. and look what satisfaction can do to people...it brings them on their knees, down to such a low level. that's my interpretation.
