I like it too, but would have to say it lacks the "gritty" guitar that I love so much about The Police. |

Bahaha! I'm listening to her version right now. Yeah, I thought that too but I usually never know the official titles to songs...fortunately, songmeanings allows for a "lyrics finder" function :) |

Ugh, I never complete a thought...also, "there's a flagpole rag and the wind won't stop" parallels the "king" and how what is supposed to represent the pride of a nation is but a weathered rag. The "kings" are unconcerned and therefore, have no pride. They are blind yet look for shadow of doubt; a reason to be apathetic to sensitive issues that evoke considerable conpassion, or should anyway. |

My impression is that "little black spot" references the speck of a shadow the earth would appear as if veiwed from deep space and parallels the significance of the rest of the song. He is expressing compassion and empathy for what others far on the outside of his soul would view as miniscule but it affects him none the less, especially, "there's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread..." Honestly, that part really strikes me to tears. This is their best, I believe! |

| Dave Matthews Band – Grey Street (Busted Stuff version) Lyrics

I feel the man is the singer himself whom might have been the only person she actually shared her dreams with; her inner-most self and aspirations. He truly believes in her and recognizes that she has what it takes to achieve her dreams. However, she does not and calls him crazy for believing in her as she understands the restraints of reality. This is a deeply painful experience and one that is very difficult to overcome, for when dreams are tucked safely away no one knows they exist therefore no one is able to shine light onto them to reveal their colors. |

Just a thought...could triangle man represent the [strong] forces of nature, that being the electromagnetic force, the strong nuclear force, and weak nucler force? (this is a very incomplete thought that I will have to sleep on), but it seems to satirically describle that all matter is unable to control the forces of nature; not man, God, the universe, or the atom, and is rather defined by it. |

Also, a Quinceañera is a cultural "rite of passage" and is a symbolic transformation from childhood (innocence) to becoming an adult which is also thematic throughout the song. The bullet then, metaphorically unclothes her and innocence is lost. |

Still waters run deep, however, a still mind never does. It doesn't take tweeking via acid to expand boundaries, just a little thought with the understanding that boundaries do not exist. Waait...what is this song again? Now I need to hear it. |

Nuthin' like coon-dog fuck-tard mixed in with edumacation. Giterdun! These kids are from somewhere like New York or something. Damnd-ole yankees do one hell of a job! Great song btw! |

The concept is actually hard to define...when I think about it, all that comes to mind is it feels like a "quorum sensing" of souls, perhaps. |

What do you suppose a woman would want to be liked for? Perhaps who she is as a person, her perspectives, her brains, what she treasures, what she detests...and the "soul-mate" "experience" really just means that there is a sense of compatability where one "gets" the other more than array of others. If you are ususally a person who often times has trouble realating with others, to see a potential development of this type of Friendship does evoke emotions. |

A soul sister could also a best friend who is like a sister or a twin but with no type of sexual attraction because they are straight. However, a soul sister from a mans perspective (with a decent amount of chemistry) could be a deeply spiritual soul-mate type of powerful connection; a mind, soul, AND body experience. |

A song about the deeply passionate physical surrender that ONLY can be solemnly bestowed upon a woman and man. Never a woman/woman or man/man because the most natural (sacred) bond is to procreate. Whether those choose to or not, the connection is still ordained by forces beyond just the physical, and "change your mind" does not mean that the mind or body could be persuaded to adjust to anything other no matter the lies. This is a beautiful song probably about loosing ones virginity...to a man! |

Because ther should also be a touch "button" (is that even relevant anymore?), called "lost and found," or "luggage claim" where I can let my lost at least find my mind (which will never be found). And that makes not sense...as usual. |

Well, in lieu of the american dream (you can be whatever you dream; whatever you can put your hands on; attain...hands like two balloons) coupled with the Brick in the Wall intro, does this allude to our aspirations being an implanted mind control technique? Two songs in one...tricky, but there are multiple variables here that are difficult to discern. Bet the Echos guy could. |

Well, bella, do you think this could also implicate suicide? As in his more ambitious self is trying to coax his weakened self to continually pull through but realizes no amount of self-reliance could persuade him from the depths of the abyss...or could it be that his youthful "American dream" failed to ever materialize (Brick in the Wall intro version) and he realizes the facade and becomes comfprtably numb abandoning his original ambitions? |

This song means more to me than I could possibly express and is a very personal experience but would like to mention that when he says, "there is no pain you are receding," could equally be heard as, "there is no pain you are receiving." Also, "there'll be no more (ahhhh)," re-introduces the beginning...(pain) and is a fragment of why this song is effin' awsome!!! |

| Van Morrison – A Sense Of Wonder Lyrics

I wonder what the multiple references are inferring and with that, he won my heart. Van can certainly connect with his audiance in a most personal way. I believe he is speaking to a woman as they walk together in the cold and he looks into her eyes as he speaks and notices how imensely captivated she has become; in "wonder" by the brillant words he says. She wants to hear his philosophy of love and how it is more than a feeling but a Newton force of gravity that could be covalently bonded and completely defined by the mind, but would rather listen to a his philosophy where logic merges with magic. Or this could be considered "purple prose," and for that, I'm sorry. |

| Van Morrison – A New Kind Of Man Lyrics

Such a beautiful depiction of how the trials and struggles of life have no other access to our true selves other than naturally shaping the contours of our being. Often times in the wilderness one must clear trails in order to define a path back to safety, and while a challenging task, it allows for innate belief in yourself and that by your own hand survival is inevitable, much like during the trials of life. For during the night, cast your eyes to a starry sky and peer into such immensity with a feeling of awe knowing how small you are, much like your troubles; for you are part of the plan and will pull tbrough to become a differnt kind of man. |

This makes no sense. But then again, "mama told me there'll be days like this." How it only pertains to an older man, I am not certain. However, as a little girl, my aunt would call me little old man and appearntly it stuck and is, perhaps, why I love this song. |

Silly gibberish is hardly consided, "fucking with you." Now if the band had access to certain tools to discover actual facts about the listener and incorporated that into the senseless gibberish...THAT would be considered "fucking with" someone. What would be the motive in that? |
