That line reminds me of my husband. He loves me with his heart and soul but he has a hard time expressing it. I have Dysthymia. I some times need actions and words to know how he feels. " Like the stars miss the sun" You mentioned that the stars are always there but can't be seen for the blaze of the sun. Its like... Something that is always there that you have trouble seeing. He always loves me but I can't see it some times because of my condition. In regards to the music video, I read that the video is about the suicide of a lesbian lover. Perhaps she missed her lover even though she was right there... maybe she had the same condition and never got help for it. |

| I don't believe that there is much religious connotation either. " Bodies floating Christ like and bare", I think just describes the way that they were arranged, floating in the water as if they WERE on a cross. I am a girl ^_^ my old car had died and we were moving to a spot that does not get a bus... so our vehicle was important to get to work. It was an SUV because we bought it from our friend at a very reasonable price. I agree with you that my meds should have come first. Looking back i regret it because I put a needless strain on myself and on Him. But it also showed me just how much he cares for me and just how much he was willing to fight to keep me... and I needed that. We are getting Married on September 29th 2012. I am back on my medication and am the happiest i can remember being. he truly taught me how to be a strong woman and how to love myself. I owe him so much. Thank you for your comments and Blessings. I adore this song for the simple reason that it reminds me so much of who I was and who I have become. I have dysthymia and when I am not on medication I am a nightmare. When my Fiance and I were saving for our SUV and apartment we could not afford my expensive meds... I was this song. I feel that this is THE song for any couple where one or both parties suffers from Depression. I was a heavy heart to carry My beloved was weighed down He hated to see me so clinically depressed. My depression was bad enough that it affected him too and this line states that And he took me to the river Where he slowly let me drown To me this signifies the river of emotion. he makes me talk about everything... even if its painful so that I get it off my chest. he makes me lay it out before him so that he can understand what's going on in my head And is it worth the wait, All this killing time? He waited for me to get better. For the pills to start working again, knowing that I would fight through it. Everything about this screams a man or woman strong enough to love some one who is in a bad place. Whether it be Depression, Mental Illness or another thing that is plaguing them. |

I think that this song is pretty simple in its meaning... and ultimately beautiful. The Metal genre is usually stereotyped as angry and hateful but this is another song that proves it wrong. This song is about a hate or a grudge. Something has happened to you that you can't let go of that you can't undo. It festers and seethes within you. a Grudge this deep can take hold of a person until all thats left is that feeling. This song is that process. and its ultimately telling you to let go and be free. They sing as your grudge as being a corner stone. Something that holds up the foundation of your life. Anchoring you to one spot. The best part of the song however is the last verse. Speaking of the ocean, letting it kiss you clean of your anger and hate. Letting go of that Grudge and letting the anchor it had become sink into the sea. Water in many traditions and stories has been cleansing. Its the perfect imagery. The song basically is telling you to let it go because whatever it is that your Grudge is about is not worth mulling over, |
