| Type O Negative – Todd's Ship Gods (Above All Things) Lyrics | 2 years ago |

@[freakishfae:47584] "From the storms predicted by the Tarot" I think it means : the disasters that were predicted. You know your parents are going to die. |

| Kodaline – All I Want Lyrics | 2 years ago |
|
For me, this is about a loved one who has died. "All I want is nothing more To hear you knocking at my door 'Cause if I could see your face once more I could die as a happy man I'm sure When you said your last goodbye I died a little bit inside I lay in tears in bed all night Alone without you by my side" : Makes it clear that someone is sorely missed. "But if you loved me Why did you leave me Take my body" means, in my opinion; I would give you my body/life |

| Bran Van 3000 – Drinking in L.A. Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
It's just about alcoholism. About the start of it, making great plans, that end up in nothing. getting attracted by the nectar and the friends, and ending up, doing none of all these great plans. Why am i drinking in LA, at age 26? Did I already choose the wrong path? |

Right on the spot! If you keep this song in mind and look at the world, how it is today .. it's almost impossible to not de-realize/personalize. |

| Lana Del Rey – Born to Die Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song is simply about life... You live it. And sometimes it's hard and sometimes you feel sad, alone and not in place. And you're all going to that end.. where maybe some big surprise is waiting. "Lost but now I am found I can see but once I was blind I was so confused as a little child" It's about being aware of the fact that you live now, and that it will all end some day. Being aware of that is being awake. and being 'awake' means being aare that you live, now. And don't get caught in a ratrace. |

| Seal – Crazy Lyrics | 13 years ago |

To me it's clear that it is about "awakening". The awakening where so many to refer in the 2012 commotion. |

184 Orwell Termintor. Instead of an apply to jump forward into technological evolution, in which way this song can be readd, I think Peter Steele was warning tht human will be completely put aside for the advance of technology. |

| Radiohead – Karma Police Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
It's song about people that are outside the mainstream. They got picked by the common people who are allmost able to get them reported to the police. Wich is a technique used by the Nazis. Therefor the link to the girl with the Nazi-haircut. At the end, the narrator allmost lost himself due to the insight of the situation. It was so mindblowing and unreal that he almost went crazy. It's a song about the common western society, loud and clear, nevertheless what the writer told it was about. |

Pretty good description! Exactly how i feel/hear/understand this great song. Since I discovered it, it became -with It's raining again by Supertramp- my daily songs, just to remind me... Anyhow, I'm going to steal your comment to put in the book 'of goodies' to leave behind, just for my kiddies, in case I don't live long enough to explain them! Thanks for putting this interpretation so clearly! Sorry that I stole. But I'll quote you. ;-) |

| Bruce Springsteen – Thunder Road Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Maybe not THE greatest, but surely between all the greatest the end - The doors; born to Run - Springsteen ; It's raining again - Suprtramp. Just to name a few. Some of these songs nil it to the point that it's mindblowing. Strangely enough you -or most people- can only fully 'understand' them when they grew a little bit older... Sad, but, better late then never. |

Magnificent song. Goes on for everybody on this damn sphere. LOL it should not be depressing. It's just bout how life goes. But told... right on that spot. |

| Tiamat – Visionaire Lyrics | 14 years ago |

It's about God looking to mankind. "To watch them twinkle on my command As once a year in midwinter songs" says it all. Good LP, btw. |

| Tiamat – The Ar Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I think it's about the power instilled us, the power to change an evolve to an better species. The five pointed star symbolyses the gray - arayn - nazism- time we live in, they putted a star on the jews and one of the darkest and-inhumane period started. |

| The Doors – The End Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
LOL global enloghtenment is still far away. The stupid, hollow lyrics of britney spears get more comments. But at least people do search, not always in the right place. But it might be a beginning. And I agree with you, the song is about 'the end' of things. A life... the last phrase captures it all : this is the... end. |
|
| The Doors – The End Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This song is simply en just about how tripping life can be & the end. To me this opus need to be listened at to the very least note... And then you can feel/hear a glimpse of how 'the end' will be. A very liberating sensation and therefore, song. |

| Supertramp – No Inbetween Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Strangely enough nobody commented this song... as so far. If you listen well, even without the lyrics, you can hear that it is an very powerfull and brilliant song. I believe it's the narrator telling how he got stuck -nevertheless the amount of money and fame he has- in the 'system'. How he is used by it as a slave. And how he, because of that, is forced to neglect the ones he loves. |
|
| Bruce Springsteen – Dancing In The Dark Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I did, and it makes sense that way. Strange how so many good songs often mean a complete other thing than we think. In this case neerly everybody thinks it's a love song. Certainly the not native english-speaking. Like Supertramps 'ain't nobody but me' Looks and sounds like a love song, untill you go dissect the lyrics, it becomes a grimm song about an psychotic killer or whathever.... Puzzling. |
|
| Bruce Springsteen – The River Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
that's exactly how I read it. the man tells the stiry about his youth, an unwanted pregnancy that changed everything, and when they're old they live besides each other, well remembering their past and passion. But that's over now. And as the narrator remember those beautifull hard moments of his life, they haunt him. cause they're past And that's driving him to the river (to jump in) He is so desperate about his loss in life and love, that he takes the way to the river, to jump, even he know it's dry. in fact I think he's hoping for the chance that het is eventually not dry, so he can end it all. |
