Drake knows the meaning but he written this song so well that anyone could relate to it and apply to a relationship or something within that nature. I think this song is a part 2 of his "fall for your type/same mistake" song, listen to it. Verse 1 There's always gonna be a 3rd voice or person in a relationship. The Bridge is very interesting,"Vegas girls loves the way it goes down" now I could be wrong, but I think he is sort of applying that to the first verse, sort of labeling the people around her. The Chorus Everything that is happening right now looks familiar to Drake, like the most simple and smallest things remind him of her. He starts to notice her tendencies and actions. It's ironic and is playing out in his eyes making it seem like she has been in this situation and has done this before. Also a reference to his older song, "Find your love." Verse 2 Drake explains his perspective of what happened in the past and why they ended the way they did. He gives implications on references to his older song, Fall for your type/same mistakes, listen to it. During that time, he was skeptical about their whole situation and didn't know who to listen to even himself. Evidently, who was he gonna complain to? It was to her and he regrets how it all played out and is clarifying things up. Verse 3 is explaining a lot about Verse 3 and the whole fall for your type ordeal, there's no trust or mis communication and agree to disagree situations. I'm guessing that he still has some sort of feelings for her and wants her back. Just my interpretation on it, i could be wrong |
