Sorry to contradict, but the song seems to be more about The Savior rather than just A Savior. This comes from the fact that she is Christian, she mentions something missing, holding on to things she knows she shouldn't but putting them in the back of her head so she doesn't see it, and having to chose and its hard to chose right because you want to be in control, and then breaking off the chains and being free. This song screams Christian. |

Actually I think saying it's just a love song is misconstruing it. I don't see the romance at all. What she's talking about is making mistakes and feeling lost and needing God to forgive her and lead because she can't do it by herself. |

(In response to the last thing posted on my last comment) 1. Hitler was part Jew 2. He's a German that created the political party called Nazism. 3. I wouldn't call Darwin brilliant, just someone who said something that other people took differently than they should have and have used it and twisted it and reworded it. 4. Darwinism is, at it's core, the belief in evolution. you can't really say evolution is true while Darwinism is not. 5. I think people should pay more attention to the fact that a.) Darwin never considered himself an atheist-just that he was uncertain about God (agnostic), and b.) Darwin himself stated that if there was no proof to be found of his theory, then it wasn't true. He knew that it was possible since it was just an idea that occurred to him. No evidence has been found showing the proof of evolution, therefore it is not true. "I am well aware that scarcely a single point is discussed in this volume in which facts cannot be adduced, often apparently leading to conclusions directly opposite to those at which I have arrived." - Charles Darwin on "Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection" 6. I agree with the last comment on two things: 1. It is about the "madness" of religion and 2. It is elegant. However it is hard for me to listen to this song because in every line she is insulting me. It's a beautiful back handed slap. I love her music, I have for a long time, but it's hard to promote someone who just released a song that is basically calling you crazy. |

I'm just a little confused about what they meant by the lines "I had a dream/ Beauty was only skin deep" Are they saying this is the way it should be? Cause if it's not then they really should have worded it differently because it really seems like they're saying that beauty is only on the out side, but we should still love everyone, which doesn't make much since... |
