I agree with everyone here. It's about the ignorance of the human race and the state of the world. Although, My girlfriend recently moved interstate and we ceased the relationship becasue we both agreed it was going to be too difficult to maintain with my work and study and her finding a new job and such. She told me her intentions and we kept it going while D-day approached. It was really hard for her, but it was harder for me and she knew it. I can't cut all ties but I can't keep in contact either. So yeah, 'So this is the end of the story' is the greatest line and how Wally sings it is so powerful. And 'this dust' really is all that is left of us. We both 'walked the plank with our eyes wide open'. 'People offered up answers' like me moving too or keep it alive irrespective of distance. Anywho, that's all I wanted to say. It's obvious what it's about but I see another meaning only becasue it relates to me now. |
