Oh my god, how has no-one commented on this song? I love it! ^.^ I think the meaning could be something to be with how war can change people? Where he says "Nobody comes back the same" I am probably light years off, but its just a guess from what I see. :) It could even be something to do with not giving up on people that go away to war and how they can possibly come back a changed person. |

Okay I got the CD today early! :D Here is what I can make out :) I hate to break it to you but, You're just a lonely star, I try to bring you down but, A level isn't good enough. You always do as you believe so, I'm gonna fall asleep, And take a seat, And watch you fall apart, 'Cause in the end, What are you without me? I slow this down 'cause I know that you can't keep up, Oh maybe I, maybe I was alone from the start, I might be proud, but atleast im proud of something, You've taken pride in becoming nothing. You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate the ones who made me. You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate the ones who made me. Im married to the music, For better or for worse, You say that I preach? ??? Your gift is my curse. I can't recall the last time, Someone asked me how I was, Wrote the check towards to the fucking record, But my help can only _____ us. Oh I sit in the truth? You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate the ones who made me. You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate the ones who made me. (Oli Sykes) Just forget what you've learned, Just forget what you've heard, The truth just confirmed, I can't bare the sight of you anymore. You've become what I hate, Sold yourself for a bit of fame, Now that the wolves have closed the door, You wanna drag me down some more.. Fuck you. Fuck you. You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate the ones who made me. You keep me on the edge of my seat, I bite my tongue so you don't hear me, I wanna hate every part of you with me, I can't hate hate the ones who made me. Well this is what I could make out by listening to the song a fair few times, this song is amazing! :D There was a few parts that I wasn't so sure about so I hope someone can correct it :P Remember that this is what I could make out by ear.. >.< |

This song is so powerful, the lyrics are just perfect. I am not 100% on what the meaning of this song is, but it could be to do with Austin's health, I believe he has Marfans Syndrome it states this on his wiki page I think. But yeah I also have it to and it does bring you down and it can make you feel like utter crap at times. "Inner me, I know you are killing me from inside. You can laugh but don't waste my time. You pessimistic, you cannibal." He has the condition in his heart and I do believe he's just had it treated and he is now alot better, but this verse sums it up really, I could be wrong but I can't think of any other reason unless its like guilt or something? But where he says you can laugh but don't waste my time, maybe he is referring to his musical career/lifestyle? And the line about the pessimistic and the cannibal could be how it bring him disbelief and make him feel like its eating him alive at times? God i've ranted on, I am not saying i'm right with the meaning, I am probably wrong :P but Austin is a big inspiration to me and I wish him all the best. :) |
