It makes a lot of sense you know... but it was a boyfriend, since he is gay, actually makes more sense, since his trauma was triggered from the contact with another man. I think that it was his first relationship with a guy and he was too traumatized, but then realized that wasn´t the guys fault and finally moved on... well, no one can totally forget something like that, but you can get used to the pain. |

Sam is genius!
I think that when he says "by the pool they would protest" he speaks of the protests against vietnam war that used to happen in Washington, near the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool! And now everyone knows about the "hives and honey bees", meaning, where the real causes of the war and the people who are making this war, still, no one does nothing to stop this. When he speaks of a crackhead, i think that the guy is Bush, he build a aircraft carrier, and before his president time was over, he made this pointless war and let only the bones of the memeorials as a remember.
