This is just plainly about growing old, but being OK with it.. "all these lines and greys refine," getting better with age, "they are the maps of our design," we're designed to grow old. And I also think something happy happened to him on a Monday morning, maybe finally meeting that significant other that grounds him, and being so captured by her and her qualities that she makes him see the better of himself -- the things that don't fade, but get better with time, like knowing yourself and your heart. It makes me so happy. "And while the glow of youth in time eludes It’s burning on inside of you It all began on a Monday morning" ...even though seeing himself age, seemingly very quickly, he still feels all the best qualities of youth deep inside of him/his soul. | Also, I think this is just sort of... a metaphor for being scared to let your walls down, maybe when you meet someone new. You're always so used to one sort of living, but then something Earth-shattering happens, and everything changes. Once you've met that person (for the best or worst) your life won't remain the same. | |

Fairly sure it says, "noise, cars on the freeway tempting a clean break there's nowhere left to go watching the roads weave and cracks in the concrete" watching the house tweak, kind of sounds like the house is on some kind of acid-trip and it's getting all confused by the cracks in the concrete :P it would make more sense, to continue with the flow of roads BECAUSE i think the song is weaving from house to road to home to road to finding themselves in the cycle of life &how different things happen in life, things that are very life-changing.. etc., etc. |
