| Placebo – Ask For Answers Lyrics

I interpret the song that Brian does love the person he is singing about. The person has wronged him time and time again. Finally Brian has decided that there will be no more second chances, the bond of love does not mean he has to be shackled to them, he can walk away and ask the sea for answers (get drunk). |

I think Abby is talking about a love of hers who has got with another person. The other person has shattered the persons soul, the way the look down at their shoes, she can see their pain. I think Abby still loves the person and knows they will come to their senses. |

I think Abby is talking about a casual relationship, there is no commitment. She descibes the perfect afternoon spent together, and then of going back to the tower (I assume her home) and battling with the emotions, the rage of falling in love with the person who views the relationship as 'nothing permanent'. |

| Leonardo's Bride – Problematic Art of Conversation Lyrics

The problems and awkwardness that some people have 'fitting in' to other peoples idea of ideals.
I don't believe Abby wanted to fit in or conform and therefore find it very difficult to converse with some people in certain situations. |

About the hard work of getting over a relationship. Getting yourself to the point where you rarely think of them anymore, back to the time you were happy without them. At the time of the song I believe the process has started and there is still some longing, missing the partner and craving that familiarity but at the same time knowing with hard work it will be easier. |

Awesome tune.
About the longing, the hurt of lost love. Holding on and hoping that they come back, being so jealous and comparing yourself to the new love of theirs. Holding out your hand, baring your soul, that is all you can do to try and win them back. Knowing that you will love them for the rest of your life.
Brilliant. |

One of my fave tunes ever!
My personal interpretation and how I listen to it..
The day to day living with and loving a person with depression. The ups and downs, never knowing how to please them. Watching them turn to drink and drugs to try and sedate their pain. All the while them not letting you in, not loving themselves enough to be loved by anyone else. |
