Wednesday Lyrics
wednesday girl, wednesday boy
comes around in the morning
stepping lightly,
taking coffee in the garden
where the sunflowers inspire you
to paint a picture,
write a letter.
wednesday girl, wednesday boy,
lunch is brie
and a little wine and music
on the sofa,
soon enough siesta
now you're finally with the one you love.
wednesday girl, wednesday boy.
nothing demanding here,
there's an understanding here,
no mind for matters permanent.
step out
on another perfect afternoon for walking
back to the tower
where the battle rages on
armed with love.
comes around in the morning
stepping lightly,
taking coffee in the garden
where the sunflowers inspire you
to paint a picture,
write a letter.
wednesday girl, wednesday boy,
lunch is brie
and a little wine and music
on the sofa,
soon enough siesta
now you're finally with the one you love.
wednesday girl, wednesday boy.
nothing demanding here,
there's an understanding here,
no mind for matters permanent.
step out
on another perfect afternoon for walking
back to the tower
where the battle rages on
armed with love.

I think Abby is talking about a casual relationship, there is no commitment. She descibes the perfect afternoon spent together, and then of going back to the tower (I assume her home) and battling with the emotions, the rage of falling in love with the person who views the relationship as 'nothing permanent'.
