This guy seems like sort of a 'Pied Piper' of children. <3 Deerhoof |

| Agreed! This song sounds like some character's theme or something of that nature. | |

A very pretty piece. Portabello mushrooms? "Portabello" also means 'beautiful door'. |

| What a cool song! I have no idea on the meaning, but it's one of my favorites on the album. | |
| Moby – South Side Lyrics | 14 years ago |

The whole thing reminds me of a drive by shooting. I'm probably way off, but here are my ideas. "here we are now, going to the east side i pick up my friends and we start to ride ride all night, we ride all day some may come and some may stay" East side is the territory of the driver. here we are now going to the west side weapons in hand as we go for a ride some may come and some may stay watching out for a sunny day where there's love and darkness and my sidearm "Love" would be loyalty to friends and the "darkness" the hatred for enemies. here we are now going to the south side i pick up my friends and we hope we won't die ride at night, ride through heaven and hell come back and feel so well Why would the driver be concerned about dying? Furthermore if this was literally about driving, what could be hellish about it? The reason I'm disinclined to think this song is about drugs is partly from the line "come back and feel so well", since "coming back" isn't a good feeling. |

| Freddie Mercury is amazing! What a spectacular song about treating your love romanticly. I also think of love between boys as the theme just because it was him that sang it, but that's not important. It can be applied to anyone! | |

"went in the room, didn't stay long, looked on the bed and brother was dead" This seems like a suicide. The whole thing is an aching lament on life's hardships. |

I'm surprised nobody has commented on this song yet. It's very catchy. It's about a girl who is content to lead a guy on. |
