The meaning is about a specific relationship Sean had that evntually turned bad and where he broke up with the girl - hence the lyrics "remembering our love as if it were a disease" at the end chorus, lyrics that REPLACE the normal chorus from earlier in the song that say quite the opposite. Jeez, people, come on! Again, Sean has said this in interviews. I don't understand why people don't understand that these songs are all based in reality. |

These lyrics are only half the song, the full lyric is on the 2003 re-release of Psycho Magnet. This song is NOT about literal S&M, that's simply a metaphor used to represent dysfunctional people who cannot interact normally, who use abuse and control as a way to survive. Again, Sean has stated this in interviews. |
