He can't move on and can't just say.. "Life goes on". For some of you being confused about the "Don't waste your time on me, you're already a voice inside my head." That line is pretty much saying that his mind or memories shouldn't talk back to rethink what has happened or gone. He is having a mental struggle because the girl he loved or loves cannot be replaced, she is forever in his head. Ok to start off before I give my opinion what this song means.. I'm just going to say a couple things about everyone's interpretation. This song is about a drug addiction yes, but what most people don't realize is that this song isn't just about that. It's about your own meaning of the song. You may think it means something about an unhealthy relationship, addiction to drugs, addiction to something else, but the real meaning is what you define it as. In Linkin Parks case they made this song about a drug addiction and learning to break that nasty habit of yours. Bottom line is that: We as people all have problems in life. Some may say, we should fix them, but others may say we should let them go. Once you've overcame your problem you're always going to have another problem occur sometime in your life. You can either try to build up and learn from it(move on) or you can just choose the fact that you have that particular problem and than move on to not worrying about it. |

Video interpretation: The floor behind her is collapsing.. pretty much making her fear what will happen if she doesn't move forward in life. So she decides to break through the nasty paparazzi. She woke up and realized what the truth is. Castles crumbling is pretty much saying, palaces and good things are decaying or falling down. She's not blind or ignorant anymore.. shes awake and conscious, basically awake and realizing her surroundings. Video interpretation: She gets out of the wheel chair after the bullies are stopped. Now she is making her way to the exit. The person she still wants to be(Katheryn or the little girl) broke her way out and now Katy(her older self) gets out of the wheel chair and grabs the little girl to make their way to the exit or get out of the mess they were in. Now run and move forward, don't go into the darkness again. Video interpretation(continued): Now she is in this so called fairy tale and becoming hypnotized by this illusion that a guy whos sexy, has nice class, rides a unicorn, and than he(Russell Brand.. Katy's ex husband) is making a promise to marry Katy. Katy stops and realizes that promises can't always work, so she pushes him out of the way. Moves to the heart(love is where you place it in your life) and goes in and the little girl rides her bike(that's what she loves) and Katy Perry moves to sing in front of a large crowd of people or at a concert and that is what Katy loves most. Bottom line: Position love where you want it to be in YOUR life. This life is about you. Love is where YOU as a person position it to be.” In other words love is where you put it in your life. If you love your family, you stay with them, that’s where you’re putting your love. Position love where you want it to be. Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way to stop you, push through it and screw what the haters think of you. I myself have a problem of trying to pass all the haters,, it sucks. However all you can do in life.. is try your best and try and get the best outcome of it. |

Everything you want from someone in life, you just can't have. Be happy with what you've got and don't try to change them unless it's clearly wrong.. ex: cheating. The singer wrote this song about a girl who he really wants and needs and also knows that she is right for him, but she doesn't understand it, so she continues to hurt herself going after the wrong men. I guess the bottom line is.. men if you know shes the one of your dreams, go after her.. don't hesitate, she will love you and support you as long as you do for her and that you commit for her. I myself am going through these current stages, but I am constantly wondering whether she will really be there for me when I need her and want her. Sometimes I feel like she goes for any guy that commits for her and that can be a huge turn off to me. I'm a guy about equality or compromise(I'll let things go by if needed).. I think all relationships are.. whether you like it or not.. otherwise you probably won't have a very healthy relationship with each other. Bottom line is, be happy with your girl/guy and don't try to find better.. because once you've found the best person.. the best person has already found someone better.. it'll just be a cycle routine. Stick with what you've got and be happy with that person.. there's no such thing as a perfect girlfriend/boyfriend.. there will be agruements or disagreements, but letting them go for the littlest things is foolish and horrendous. This song is basically just about telling the truth, whether it hurts or doesn't. It can be good or bad. Sometimes we just want to protect the ones we love, but than again when the truth comes out in front of them they get heart broken or mad at us if it's a bad truth. I think girls are just mental terrorists.. that's what it comes down to for me. >_< Overall.. guys just learn to tell the truth even if it gives you pain(heck the girl/woman might even like you more for telling her the truth). This song is obviously about the guy not having a strong or warm heart for the girl or a girl that touched his heart. He's sorry for being the way he is and just can't help who he's become. Sometimes you just have to accept someone for whom they're instead of who you wish they would be, or maybe that's just the way I feel about other girls. Bottom line is.. don't be afraid to show the real side of you because whom you're is what makes you a happy person.. yes your partner may be someone you adore, but if she or you aren't happy together for whom you two of you are than you'll never find happiness or love in life. Also I can tell you right now that I really, REALLY love this girl that I like, but there are somethings I may not approve of her.. you just got to find happiness and love in life.
