| I love this song. To me, it's about someone that is on the verge of something, maybe their breaking point and perhaps feeling very low in their life. However, it still feels like it is about redemption and there is also a slight feeling of hope. It just makes me feel so much. It is gorgeous. One of my all time favs by Aqualung. | |

Meaning is pretty straightforward. Jarrod once said something along the lines of that he has so much pride in NY and being from Brooklyn and leaving it behind for someone would be the ultimate gesture of devotion. Something along those lines anyway. His version features Nicole Atkins as a duet. It’s wonderful. | |

This is one of my fav Matt Costa songs too. Just love it. Not too sure about the meaning either, but I just love the way it sounds...ie, "The callous on your eyes have grown Sapphire eye looks Down on my lilacs..." Just kind of rolls of the tongue and, "covered w bees you few above me." Idk, it's almost whimsical. |
