hhhmmmm this is a hard one well this is my opinion i could be wrong i think this song is about a girl who was abused in some way by her dad or in family in general and that the abuse was so bad she started to call out for help mentally like when some people go in such turmoil in families, job, deep emotional pain ect they start asking for gods help or in this case jesus because the girl is abused badly she starts asking for an angel,jesus or possibly god but because there's no response or hep from them the abuse gets so bad she decides cause she ins't getting any help and the abuse is that bad and she felt not wanted she decided to commit suicide and thats why i think where did jesus go? as a metaphorical question saying where was he when he could of helped her but he didn't, the devils advocate quote is hard to explain with it meaning worst side just for an argument maybe she's meaning that people believed what was happening to the girl that commited suicide but just chose not to believe it and argued that it was a lie for the sake of it, sorry i'm probably wrong but this is such a difficult lyrics to understand has anyone got a better opinion??????? |
