I do like his line about how she will run in his sleep. I can relate, to care about someone so much and then they are gone after you gave it everything, though your mind is no longer yours when your sleeping, and there she is.

Well like most songs by them are about, it probably began with a break up. Though everyonce in a while the girl comes back and she checks up on him, 'when i come home, i know it's you that ill find'. Though she wouldnt have him back especially since his life is falling apart in his 'prison'. When she comes back all his feelings come back and it only damages him more by filling him with false ideas 'i want to know if this is real, all of these things that I feel'. By the end he doesn't know what to believe and his life is gone as he's been too damaged by her to move on. When the music backs out and Feldman sings, 'my life is running away', shivers down my spine.

Isn't it amazing how Goldfinger can play such a depressing song with such upbeat that it really isn't depressing anymore, well sometimes it still is. With this song the music is so upbeat that you start to forget the message the lyrics are about, maybe that's what they are going for. All the relationship problems and fights aren't really necessary and a lot of people just like to argue and fight for the sake of fighting. Maybe this song with it's fast paced punk sound is a way of saying to get over it and get back that positive vibe the music makes you feel.

On the live album he says that it is his favorite city in California. I don't know much about the city, and wiki doesn't have any bio on Feldman. My guess is that it's where he grew up, but only a guess. A lot of artists came from places where the people didn't understand what their art was, but still it's their home so they miss it. Eh? Long shot, but it's how I take it.
