This song is definitely about weed. Or maybe I'm just a little biased. Let me break it down for you. "Go on sit back and relax and get comfortable Oh ya sit back and relax and get comfortable Now close your eyes, now make it right" He just got in a fight with his girl, probably about weed, so he smokes a bit to try and feel better. "Don't point your finger at me Don't you know it's you why you're suffering You're why you're suffering I've got my mind set at ease Don't you know it's you why you're suffering You're why you're suffering" She told him that his smoking hurts him, so he turns it back on her and more or less says, "Don't look at me, I'm not hurting you. You're hurting yourself." He accuses her of being too uptight, so much that it's hurting her. He thinks she needs to smoke a fat blunt to "set her mind at ease", like him. "I’ve got my reasons to live Don’t you know it’s you why you’re suffering You’re why you’re suffering" Again, more of the "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality. To me, this song portrays the mindset of a young addict. I don't know if it was meant that way or not, but his mindset seems quite stubborn and maybe even selfish, two hallmarks of addiction. That's just my interpretation though. By the way I'm not judging. It takes one to know one. |
