Suffering

This ones my favorite of their new album "Bright Side of Life." Its like the singer is talking directly to you, and the hypnotizing sounds fits this very well. I see it similar to the Buddhist teachings that suffering comes from personal attatchment to material objects and people. Therefore, the only reason why you are suffering is you yourself, and you must free yourself from this attactment to get your "mind set at ease."

I think the song is fairly straight to the point, but I "understand" or so I get my comfort out of the song based off the fact that, and by far simply, "Your the reason your suffering." Things aren't always as bad as they seem. You can let things get to you and it starts to hurt you because you can't let it go, and instead of realizing that it's YOURSELF that could have helped the whole time, you start pointing fingers because it's just human of you. Then domino effect happens, people don't want to be near you etc...and then your really suffering, still from yourself.

i like to moke weed to this song

This song is definitely about weed. Or maybe I'm just a little biased. Let me break it down for you.

"Go on sit back and relax and get comfortable Oh ya sit back and relax and get comfortable Now close your eyes, now make it right" He just got in a fight with his girl, probably about weed, so he smokes a bit to try and feel better.

"Don't point your finger at me Don't you know it's you why you're suffering You're why you're suffering I've got my mind set at ease Don't you know it's you why you're suffering You're why you're suffering" She told him that his smoking hurts him, so he turns it back on her and more or less says, "Don't look at me, I'm not hurting you. You're hurting yourself." He accuses her of being too uptight, so much that it's hurting her. He thinks she needs to smoke a fat blunt to "set her mind at ease", like him.

"I’ve got my reasons to live Don’t you know it’s you why you’re suffering You’re why you’re suffering" Again, more of the "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality. To me, this song portrays the mindset of a young addict. I don't know if it was meant that way or not, but his mindset seems quite stubborn and maybe even selfish, two hallmarks of addiction. That's just my interpretation though. By the way I'm not judging. It takes one to know one.

haha a1ctsq, thats a good thought, and I like it.....but dont think thats what the songs intention was meant to be (although you can make it whatever you want to for you). I think DYSL hit it on the head with this. This song reminds me of all the unhappy/negaitve people I have to deal with/talk to. they are always so unhappy about something. Each one of us has the ability to change certain aspects in our life if we really wanted to (for the most part). He is basically just pointing that out in this song. Basically the song is saying you have the ability to change and to stop your suffering, you put yourself in this situation but have power to change it!
