To me it feels as if he's remembering an old relationship, one of that was close to ending many times, but they kept it going on the promises they made. Now he realizes just how many times it could have ended, and now admits that it was all a mistake, even if he did feel the way he did. "Can we dig up forgiveness, where we buried the lies? Can we fill all the VOIDS from the hardest of goodbyes." -The lyrics are wrong, he says "Can we fill all the VOIDS from the hardest goodbyes" not poison. This is my favorite line from the song, and really holds a lot of emotion. For a moment he seems to want to try one more time and let everything that went wrong before die, and maybe they could start over. |

Straight forward song. They took the quote "I'll love you until the day I die" which already holds a lot of emotion and just put so much more into it that it couldn't be anything less than amazing. This song shows that when you do finally find that true love, it will be some of the most raw emotion that you will ever feel. No matter what happens, you will always love them till the end. "As years go by I race the clock with you. But if you died right now, you know that I'd die to." -This is my favorite line of the song. It's simple, but so true to so many people. I've seen it before. Once you've spent most of your life with the one you love, learn to live no other way, and they die, the other slowly dies too, because without them, there is no point. "We'll make the same mistakes, I'll take the fall for you. I hope you need this now cause I know I still do." -Everyone makes mistakes, we're all human. He's saying that even when it was her fault, he still took the blame, because he loved her that much. He still needs her, and he hopes that she still needs him too. "My hands are at your throat, and I think I hate you. We made the same mistakes. Mistakes like friends do." -If you truely care about someone, and love them deeply, you will hate them at some point. Something will happen, someone will be hurt, and you think you hate them, but when it all blows over you realize you never really did, you just let your emotions get the better of you. That's what he's saying. |

I don't think it's actually about a girl in his life. To me the song is about how the world ignores him, and he resents everyone for it. "Here i am pouring my heart on to these roof tops, just a ghost, to the world. That's exactly, exactly what i need." -He tries to give everything he has, and the world just ignores him. As time went on, he learned to see it in a positive way, but still hates the world for it. "For a second i wish the tide, would swallow every inch of this city, as you gasp for air tonight." -He's tired of being ignored, and wants the world to pay for it. |
