| LOL, The first time i listened to this song i missheared the lyrics. I though he was singing "Grannie out of control", "there's nothing worst than a grannie out of control", i found that very amusing... then i found out the actual name of the song, and remembered Pearl Jam is not that kind of band, though it would have been funny to see a comedy facet of the band. | |

I really never thought of a rape scenario here... really, you people are sick... I allways think in 5 police officers beating one single person, it happens a lot, and theres that infamous video of the 5 police beating a black man. Then i totally understand and share the part "i rather be with an animal" than a police man... ya know? Great song, may be the best from VS |

People take this lyric too literally... In the part "Why don't presidents fight the war?" They are not really asking, it's sarcastic, like saying "It's your f*cking war, why don't you go fight it, punk?" 'Cos everyone knows that soldiers do not fight for the freedom of their country, and certainly not for the freedom of the country they invade. I bet that the vast majority of soldiers don't know why they actually fight for... |

This is a great song... somehow the first thing i think when i hear it is capitalism, i'am not sure is that was the intention of this lyric, but i feel it's a comparation of capitalists and rats; lines like, "Lick the dirt off a larger one's feet" "Drink the blood of their so called best friend." (clasic unethic corporative behavior) "Don't pack themselves together and run as one" This one is great, 'cos they don't "pack toghether", don't confabulate or conspirate, but the "run as one", defend the same ideals, have the same goals (this is make more and more and more and more and more MONEY) "Starve the poor so they can be well fed. Line their holes with the dead ones bread." These two are very explicit, xD Well, this is in my opinion, Salute! |
