Eddie Vedder – Setting Forth Lyrics 14 years ago
it sounds to me like it says "an angel drunk and high" but it makes less sense contextually

thats so cool you say that because this song and that book are the two very things I think of from my past summer (after sophomore year). I used to ride my bike down this rather gradually declining hill and listen to this song. Because gravity was moving me, I would let go of the handles and stand up on the peddles and feel as though I was flying through this envelope of warmth, and of love, and as though something incredible was happening.

Neil Young – Little Wing Lyrics 15 years ago
man this takes me to my junior year of high school. first time ever listening to this song, sitting at a stop light at the beginning of december. that line that goes "winter is the best time of them all, winter is the best of all" just got me totally frozen in time. its one of those obscure moments that I'll never forget

Third Eye Blind – Deep Inside of You Lyrics 15 years ago
I dont have reason as to why (which is kind of nice atually) but this song makes me think of a campfire. Friends around the the campfire in the woods, in the beginning of fall, where no one can see their breather but they're wearing jackets and winter hats. Laughing and drinking beer and just winning at life. While all of this fun is going on there are two kids, one a boy and one a girl, that were sitting next to eachother and unbeknownst to anyone else they start falling for eachother. laughing at eachother and all that. Sure enuough they end up sharing a tent that night. I feel like this is a song about one night stands that end up producing a really powerful relationship or at least really powerful feelings, whether or not they turn into something substantial or not

The Smashing Pumpkins – 1979 Lyrics 15 years ago
also, I intentionally mishear the lyrics in the second chorus to make it say "As restless as we are, we feel at home in the land of a thousand guilts."

that just strikes me in an indescribable way

I think its sad that there are people who say things like this "Im a suburban teen but the lyics dont mean shit to me." are you kidding? apparently nostalgia and a yearning for this classic, close-knit society is going away? the world sucks now with how impersonal it is but this song is beautiful because it reminds me that its possible to come together and to love and to be carefree.

everyone should check out the version by Candy Cane. it can be found on Grooveshark.com. it is orgasmic, i promise

M. Ward – Post-War Lyrics 15 years ago
I once did shrooms and listened to this song and life was never the same. I started being this song. I was in a phone booth and I walked out into this desolate town and looked around at everyone and no one looked into me, just at me. And I started to make snow angels in the street. It was a beautiful fantasy.

M. Ward – To Go Home Lyrics 15 years ago
I am surprised to find that M Ward did not write this song but I love it. I first heard it when school was starting and I just got a car and I used to drive around with girls or with friends at night and this song always made me feel elated to be in the now
