House of Heroes – Voices Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this is about a soldier- he only killed on the battlefield to keep from being killed.
'in the graceless world, i was graceless.
i'm just a murderer 'cause murder was my only chance.'
He feels guilt over all those he has killed.
And I think it's 'every LAMB that I've slain' because of that metaphor of God as the shephard and us the lambs.

House of Heroes – Leave You Now Lyrics 15 years ago
Because this is a war-themed song (I think it's war in general, not just WWII) this seems like he's talking about a labour camp- he was forced to work to avoid 'the gun'. It seems he was interrogated too, but he's planning to escape to America and safety with his girl once he escapes.

House of Heroes – In The Valley Of The Dying Son Lyrics 15 years ago
I heard that this story is about a soldier in WWII (I think that's what the music video is) but it parallels with the story of Jacob. I heard a preacher talk about Jacob, and this song ties in really well. Jacob's name means 'deceiver', so all through his life he was treated as the deceiver- it was a curse. He became what everyone treated him as. He lied, AND was lied to. But after fighting the angel, he was renamed 'Israel'. So, as the song says, he 'wrestled the angel, to undo the curse'.
Afterwards, he went to meet his brother. Esau wanted to kill him, but Jacob wanted to make amends, and didn't know how it was going to go. That's why he sings 'Tonight will be my ending or tonight my new beginning.'
There's a lot more than that, but I don't want to write a whole essay :)

Capital Lights – Miracle Man Lyrics 15 years ago
This song, for example, is about redemption. "What's left of a prized possession,
we'll cash out in another dimension." Instead of trolling, try read the lyrics.

Capital Lights – Frank Morris Lyrics 15 years ago
And there's this song, which isn't about God, but quite definately isn't about breaking up with his girlfriend.
Besides, you don't have to have christian lyrics to be a christian band. Have you heard Family Force Five?
