| i love this song!!! i was introduced to it on my cousin's mp3 and i just got kinda obsessed with the lyrics because i had just been in a break up. and then after 3 years, david pops out with an awesome music video for it. ahh... the lyrics are beautifully painful and has an introverted sadness that i believe many people can relate to after such a complicated situation. i'm going to go watch the music video now. | |

| well, i interpreted that this song is about shannon's trust in matt. i mean, everything points in that direction because the song is pretty much self-explanatory. So my husband writes music and loves trying to understand lyrics, so here goes his interpretation. This man is in love with someone and the way it was approached was unfortunate. he had no idea what turn of events would take over, therefore he has lost control of it. so, he finally broke it off. okay, this doesn't sound good so i'm going to use names. this was during the time that Matt T. was seeing SM. but then also fell for another woman(Jane D.) i suppose he was in love with her too? but their relationship was a secret and man, it must've been driving him insane with all the lying, so the only way to get things under control was to break it off. and matt's fine with it, it would be a relief. but for miss jane, wow, sucks to be the other woman. he must've cared for her, but their relationship is not right. and from the lyrics of "yeah I'll curl up with you, Until I die with you" sounds like it went on for a number of years? or for a long time. she meant something to him. |
