@[trap49:8167] What kind of bullshit is this? You blame Stevie for the breakup, yet you believe Lindsey cheated on her? If he did cheat on her, she had every right to leave him. He is the one to blame for all of it, not Stevie. Also, Stevie, Mick, and Lindsey all have said that Stevie and Mick got together AFTER Stevie and Lindsey broke up; they didn't get together until the Rumours tour. People call it an affair. But this isn't because Lindsey and Stevie were together, cos they weren't. It's considered an affair because Mick was still married when he decided to cheat on his wife with Stevie (then got with her friend after they broke up). They decided to break it off because he was married as well as because they didn't want it to break up the band. Stevie never had an affair whilst Stevie and Lindsey weretogether. Also, both Stevie and Mick have called each other their soulmates, funnily enough. Whereas, Stevie would never say that about Lindsey. Also, listen to "Silver Springs". It's Stevie's response to "Go Your Own Way". Lindsey threw a fit and strong-armed the rest of the band into going along with his decision to leave it off of Rumours because the song made him feel uncomfortable. They did this when Stevie wasn't needed at the studio. Then, they replaced the song with "I Don't Want To Know", which was a song Stevie wrote during their time as a duo, before joining FM. Even though Stevie had written their biggest hits before Rumours, it was always Lindsey's way or the highway, so he exerted control over everyone in the band. Also, they met in high school, as seniors. And, men aren't animals. We have brains for a reason. If you can't use it to stay faithful to your partner, then you are to blame for every relationship where you fuck it up by cheating, whether that man is a rock star or works at McDonald's. If I'm a rockstar but in a relationship, I'm going to stay faithful because I take that seriously. If I want to sleep with someone else, I break up with who I'm with. |

| @[foreverdrone:8151] Read the behind the stuff drama about "Silver Springs". After Linsey write "Go Your Own Way", Stevie wrote "Silver Springs" in response, and it sounded just as angry. He didn't like the way it made him feel. So when Stevie wasn't needed in the studio one day, Lindsey convinced the band to exclude it from the album. And because with him, it was always his way or the highway, he convinced them to agree with him. He made Mick tell Stevie Nicks outside in the parking lot later on, when he decided to replace "Silver Springs" with "I Don't Want to Know", which was a song Stevie wrote before they joined Fleetwood Mac and were a duo. She was pretty angry, to say the least. And to add insult to injury, they put it as the b-side to "Go Your Own Way". | |

@[Ishmal:8150] She also said she was offended and upset about it also because of the line "Packing up and shacking up is all you want to do" from Go Your Own Way, saying that it wasn't true that she wanted to go and shack up with other guys. In response to Go Your Own Way, Stevie wrote "Silver Springs", and it was just as angry. But because Lindsey didn't like how that song made him feel, he and the rest of the band took it off of the record and didn't tell her until they decided to replace it with "I Don't Wanna Know", which was an older song from when Lindsey and Stevie were a duet, before they joined Fleetwood. Mick took her out to the parking lot and told her in private that they took out "Silver Springs" and the reason was because it was too long, but she was okay with cutting down its length so that it could be included, but he told her they were they were going to replace it with "I Don't Want to Know" anyway, and she could either sing on it, leave it off and only have 2 songs on the album, let only Lindsey song on it by himself, or basically fuck off. To this day, she's still upset about its omission from the album. Lindsey Buckingham has always had the temper of a petulant child. It was always either his way or the highway. And because he didn't like the way "Silver Springs" made him feel, he threw a trantrum and made them take it off, even though "Go Your Own Way" is just as angry as it was. Moreover, to add insult to injury, they decided to put "Silver Springs" as the b-side to the "Go Your Own Way" single. I think what was messed up even more than their deciding to take it off the album was that they decided it in secret, when Stevie wasn't in the studio with them/wasn't needed in the studio that day. Moreover, what caused Stevie to leave the band was that in the late 80s/early 90s, Stevie wanted to include "Silver Springs" on a compilation/greatest hits album of her solo career, but Mick told her no because he wanted to put it on a box set ("25 Years- The Chain"). She ended up getting slight revenge when it was released as a single and became a minor hit when they released it from the live album "The Dance". Personally, I probably would have threatened to leave Fleetwood Mac if it wasn't included on Rumours and taken my songs with me if they still didn't relent. |

| @[culprit:8017] Funnily enough, this is probably my second favourite song off of the album, after Ship to Wreck. I think the vocals, lyrics, instruments, and arrangement all come together perfectly, whereas I don't think that's the case for the majority of the songs on the album. | |

I feel like this is about two people that were in a relationship together, broke up because they weren't seeing eye to eye on the course that it was taking them, tried to be friends, then found themselves at the same place as last time. "I will sell you a future you don't want like I did last time . I won't go slow." She is saying that just like the last time they were together, she will want a more serious relationship than the other person is after. So she is wary about going ahead. But because she loves this other person, she is warning them of what will happen if they get together again. "Taking every chance to find solutions that never make anyone happy" The other person is trying to offer compromises for both of them. Maybe she wants a more serious relationship whereas the other person just wants a friends with benefits situation, so they offer a middle road: dating. In the end, it doesn't make either of them happy cos it isn't what they each want. "I will change direction. I will tell you that everything's moving too slowly. Just another lie. One more intruth" She's finally done with this cycle they seem to be going through, so to end things more quickly, she makes herself reveal her true feelings faster than she would have otherwise. OR she is going to act like an extreme version of herself and pretend to want even more than a serious relationship, maybe bring up marriage even though she actually doesn't want that or just pretends to seem like she wants more of a serious relationship than she does. |

The first four line are probably my favourite on the album. I find them so clever. The song itself is also, IMO, the best on on the album. It has a nice 80s feel to it with a touch of R&B thrown in. |

Not a lot of nice, romantic songs out these days. I love this song. The chorus is also increadibly catchy, and Iove the bridge and pre-choruses. It produces such vivid imagery. I love how flirty Tegan's voice is as well |
