| Linkin Park – Leave Out All the Rest Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I absolutely love this song, it really is my most played song on my iTunes because I like the message he is portraying through this song...well, I like the message that I understood from it because my view may be completely different from others but what I take from this song is that he just wakes up one day and realizes how much he has screwed up in life and it took this dream/nightmare to realize it. Through this he learned and felt like he had hurt the one, and perhaps only, person who actually loved and cared for him and he absolutely hated that feeling, the feeling of knowing how much he's actually hurt her when all she was trying to do was help. Now clearheaded, he's looking back and he desperately wants to find something within him to justify that fact that he actually made a difference in his lifetime, but he is coming up short and then he realizes that he doesn't care what other people think of him as long as he knows that he is in good terms with this one girl and hopefully made a positive impact in her life like she's done with him, and that is why he wants her to remember the good times they shared and hold on to those memories instead of all the bad...just remember what they had through a good light should he ever leave her side. And, as long as she remembers him in that way he'll have piece of mind and tranquility. | |
| Coldplay – Yellow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I definitely think this is a love song. I think that the girl is a bit insecure in herself, like most of us girls can be, and he sees her as this beautiful, unique individual inside and out and he is trying to make her understand all the ways that she is special and that he would literally give his life for her because he loves her so much for being different, for being her and she should be confident in her skin because girls like her are hard to find. Yep, we really are one in a billion! ( ; | |
| AC/DC – Highway To Hell Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It does seem like it signifies AC/DC's journey and what they had to go through to make it to where they got to be and it seems like they didn't give a damn about what people told them they could or could not do because they believed that life has no limits, whatever they wanted out of life they could achieve it and they did. To me it also has like this careless attitude, as if they didn't take life seriously and lived by their own rules...just living life to the fullest and making it worth while. | |
| Katy Perry – Teenage Dream Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I believe that what she means by this song is that she is so in love with this one guy that he brings out that teenager inside of her that always wished for this romantic/adventurous fairytale and when she is with him it's like she is experiencing love for the first time again and reliving her teenage dream once again like before, only this time around it's actually better because she's matured and can really appreciate it more than she would have then. I don't think that the song is actually suggesting that they are in fact teenagers. | |
| Dead By Sunrise – Crawl Back In Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's about how everyone keeps pointing out his flaws and they keep telling him what he should do to fix them. He actually started to believe what they kept telling him that when he saw himself in the mirror all he saw was them scrutinising him, he lost who he really was in the middle of it all and that really shook him, so much so that he wanted to put a stop to them, to it. He doesn't want to become just like them because he knows he's better than that-than them and that is why he refuses to be taken down by them just like they had been taken down with insecurities. They were weak and he doesn't want to become that, he wants to crawl back into his skin to be the person that he used to be before any of this happened. | |
| Mike Posner – Cooler Than Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah, that is exactly what I think too, that it's in reference to "You're So Vain" but idk, I also think like, a regular person will most likely think that that song couldn't possibly be about them and they just dismiss it quickly without another thought, it's whatever, for all you know it could be about the stereotypical women in the city, but because this girl is so caught up in herself-she thinks this song is definitely about her-there is no doubt in her head about it. She finds it flattering even because she feels she's affected him in such a way for him to write a song about her, but it's actually rather mocking, she'll just never get it. Idk, that's what I think. | |
| Mike Posner – Cooler Than Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| To me this song is mainly about how he is interested in this one girl. He has tried to no avail to get to her, using all of his tricks to attract her attention, but she is just too vain, she won't give him the time of day because in her own little delusional world she thinks he's not worth her time if his pockets aren't deep enough. She is so caught up in the materialistic things in life that she only feels important and relevant when she is sporting the latest fashions, that's the only reason why people while take interest in her...she feels, because deep down inside she is very insecure about herself, and basically all the designer duds make her. | |
| Enrique Iglesias – Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I'm not a huge fan of his, however, I do like this song and I think it's about him being in love with this girl, but she has had enough of the relationship and it's basically tumbling down and he feels like a total idiot for missing the signs earlier on in the relationship that were signifying the end. And even after possibly taking the signs into consideration he still thought he could change the tragic end, but he was wrong. They couldn't go back to what they had before because the girl is not willing to try anymore, she's over it and all she wants is to move on and all that is left is for him to move on as well no matter how much the ending to their relationship kills him because of what they shared once upon a time. | |
| Chris Brown – Crawl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think this song is about a relationship that has gone sour. The guy obviously made a mistake in their relationship and he's recognized his error a little too late, but at least he has recognized it and now, he wants to make things right again for her-for them, and he wants the girl to give him another chance and he also understands that it's going to take some time to rebuild what they had before it all went amiss, so they are going to have to start from the bottom up, hence the "So we'll crawl till we can walk again, then we'll run until we're strong enough to jump, then we'll fly until there is no end, so let's crawl....crawl...(crawl) back to love" so, I guess he hopes that in the end love can conquer all and they can still have what they once had, and everything that they hoped to have. | |
| Carrie Underwood – Cowboy Casanova Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Well, this song is pretty, pretty obvious. "Carrie" as the narrator (I guess) is obviously trying to forewarn these women who have their sights set on the "Cowboy Casanova" or are being captivated by his charm because she has been in their place before and knows firsthand that this will only end badly for the woman in the situation because the "Cowboy Casanova" only cares about having a good time, he wants to strings attached, but the women want something more and they want to be the one to tame him, but they can't and they only end up in his trap and being manipulated by him. And then the vicious cycle just keeps on repeating itself. Hmm, I almost feel awful for these imaginary women... | |
| Reba McEntire – Consider Me Gone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| To me it seems like they are both involved in a dying relationship. The woman in the relationship seems like she has been trying so hard to keep the relationship alive, trying to no avail to get a response from her partner but he has checked himself out of the relationship a long time ago. He has given up on them, but for some reason he just can't seem to officially end it for them, and put them both out of their misery. I guess he just doesn't have the heart to tell her because maybe the woman is still taken by him, even though she knows it's in vain to try and save whatever they had in the past. And then, finally she asks him to just be upfront about their relationship for once because if he is not going to be devoted to making it work and correspond back to her feelings then they have no reason to stay together and they just end it now before they begin to regret each other. | |
| Adele – Chasing Pavements Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Idk, I think this is a love song, that's just the way that it comes across to me: "I've made up my mind No need to think it over If I'm wrong I ain't right No need to look no further This ain't lust This is love but" After pondering the situation over and over, she finally comes to the conclusion that she is in love with this guy. That's it, there is nothing more to it and she doesn't want to hear anything else about it because she chooses to believe that it is love. "If I tell the world I'll never say enough Because it was not said to you And that's exactly what I need to do If I'm in love with you" She feels like first she needs to speak to this guy about this new revelation before she can announce it to everyone else that she is in love and just shout it to the four winds. "Should I give up Or should I just keep chasing pavements Even if it leads nowhere Or would it be a waste Even if I knew my place should I leave it there? Should I give up Or should I just keep chasing pavements Even if it leads nowhere?" She starts doubting if she should even say anything to him at all, maybe due to fear that he might not feel the same way about her that she does about him. She wonders if it will be just in vain if she let's her feelings be none and if he doesn't reciprocate, should she leave it at that, or continue to try to win over his love and affection-even if all roads lead to nowhere. "I'd build myself up And fly around in circles Wait then as my heart drops And my back begins to tingle Finally could this be it" She finally sums up the courage to tell him and she kinda has these different swirls of emotions waiting for his verdict...could his response be what she was waiting for, or...not? You decide, is this a grim ending to a fairytale story, or a happily ever after? |

| Adam Lambert – Broken Open Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| To me this song is about not being afraid to show your true self to this one person that has promised to be your confidant. Like he is not going to judge you for who you are and the fear of them knowing should not get in the way, like he has been through that stage in life as well and knows exactly what you are feeling, so he will help you get through this self revelation. | |
| Beyoncé – Halo Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I was just listening to this song on my iTunes and I was just curious about what people thought this song meant to them, and after hearing peoples theories I decided to create an account and voice my meaning of this song. Okay, well I think it's about a woman who got her heartbroken in a previous relationship, quite possibly the person who she thought was the love of her life, and she vowed to herself to shut close with lock and key the doors of her heart to keep guarded from ever being hurt once more by another man. And then, the unexpected happened-she fell deeply, utterly, unconditionally, and irrevocably in love! And the reason why I think this to be true, is the following: "Remember those walls I built Well baby they're tumbling them down And they didnt even put up a fight They didnt even make a sound I found a way to let you in But I never really had a doubt Standin in the light of your Halo I got my angel now" She was keeping very guarded to the point that she put up an invisible wall, as to not let anyone in and get to know the real her, but somehow, this new love interest of hers kept insisting that he was the right guy for her and that he was going to mend her broken heart. Secretly she believed him and she wanted it to be true, but she never spoke the words out loud, her pride wouldn't allow her to muster the words for fear of getting hurt. However, the part of her that believed the words he spoke and his love to be true to her-was the more dominant part of her, and it was building her trust and confidence in her towards him regardless of how much she tried to fight against it. "Its like Ive been awakened Every rule I had you breakin Its the risk that im takin I aint never gonna shut you out" Now that all her defenses have been destroyed, she can now see the real him and allow not only him to love her, but allow herself to love him back as well. His love was enough to break into her heart and ignite the real person that she was and will now be once again thanks to him, that is why she feels like she has been awaken-she is seeing the world through brand new eyes; so to speak, and she took a tremendous risk of getting hurt by him during the process because she opened up her heart and let him break through the impenetrable walls that she built, thus breaking everything she vowed upon when she refused love after getting hurt. And now that she has witnessed the true power of love, she never wants to keep him out in the dark ever again because she knows firsthand what it feels like through the other end. "Everywhere Im lookin now Im surrounded by your embrace Baby I can see your Halo You know youre my saving grace Youre everything I need and more Its written all over your face Baby I can feel your Halo Pray it wont fade away" In a way that hate and resentment that built within her was also kinda gnawing at her alive and it was killing her softly, and then he came along like her knight in shinning armor and showed her that she doesn't have to live with all that hate and resentment. He taught and showed her the true meaning of love and everything that it is and what it stands for, and she is blessed that he saved her in that sense and prays that, that nice, kind, and generous persona in him won't ever leave him, like it possibly did with her former flame. And every time she looks at him, she thinks to herself that the only person or thing that she will ever need to go on and survive...is him-the love he provides her with, he's the true-real love of her life, he's her everything! He's the air that she breathes, the whisper in the wind, the beat of her heart, the sun in her face, etc. "Hit me like a ray of sun Burning through my darkest night Youre the only one that I want Think im addicted to your light I swore Id never fall again But this dont even feel like falling Gravity cant begin To pull me to the ground again" She realizes that she is very dependent on him and even more so than she would like to be-she needs him in order to survive, for her world can't function without him in it-he's like her drug. And yes, she realizes that she promised to herself that she would never let another man swoop her off her feet, but this time the feeling is different, and she comes to the conclusion that what she has with him is in fact true love-like the fairytale type, and the reason that she feels like it's different this time is because she actually is in love with someone who loves her back, as oppose to before that she was in love with the idea of being in love with her previous relationship. And she would like to believe that if it wasn't love, that she wouldn't be fooled a second time, that what she suffered through before would be the voice of reason to tell her to back away and keep from repeating the cycle. |
