Well this entire story cant be found anywhere in the bible (as far as I've found), but I believe it's about finally accepting we are going to die. Now when David realizes this the angel prevents him from passing on that knowledge. Yes, David told Solomon some advice before he died. Did David die this way, or surrounded by people? we don't know. But the point is we cant get caught up on details like this. Often the bible does big picture stuff for a reason. I was thinking because if we really get caught up on the details of everything we loose focus on the point of the entire book... Jesus. |
