I'm going through a situation right now in my life, and every line in this song just makes perfect sense to me and has helped me so much. I agree with waitingonyou for the most part, except i think the line "We'd never know whats wrong without the pain, sometimes the hardest thing are the right thing are the same" is about realizing that you've skrewed this person over so many times by going out with other people and being indecisive, and during that time they found someone else, that you need to let them go (even if its extremely hard to do), because it's the right thing and you want to see that person happy. I don't think this song ends with the person getting the one they keep going back to, I think it's that he waited too long and lost her, and then starts feeling the pain when she moves on, but the pain helps him realize what he's being doing wrong. |

I can relate to this perfectly. I think that its like a distance relationship, hence "on your own" and when you are away, is just isnt the same as being with the person. you don't know what to talk about. as much as you want to make it work, you can't and when you're on your own you see that the other person is happy and try everything to fix that but nothing really works. "i can't find what your looking for, nothings left" you start thinking about the relationship and realize how different it is from when you first met that person and you know that as much as you want to be with that person, you know its to an end and don't want it to drag out. |

i can relate to this song personally. i think its that they wanted to be with someone, but they ended it (because of how the other lives their life?), and now they are regretting it. and now, as time is moving on they just want somebody to love. but looking back at the past, even though that might have been a long time ago it seems like it was just yesterday. and the person is running out of time to get the other one back. i think the colors are like the white is like being empty, and the red is vibrant, and the person just wants it back. i think the person realizes no matter if someone lives a different way or isn't what you pictured you would like, you love them, and you can't change it. |
