| Emilie Autumn – Asleep (The Smiths cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I must say I love her cover. It's actually one of my favourite songs on the Deluxe Edition. Even though I, ironically enough, slept through it first time I heard the record. Exhausted, much? But, well, I think it's about, well, falling asleep forever. Dying. Happily, it kinda seems. This person does not want to wake up alone anymore, which could mean that he/she is tired of being alone and just wants to die. And the last lines are about hope, hope that there is another world when you die. A beautiful song, indeed. |
