great songg! im surprised there's not more comments. it has that feel of classic rock but almost jazz in a way. i really don't know how to explain it.n there's just not much else like it =] i think this song is about more than one girl, its about pop culture's influence on this generation where looks are everything. and when your confidence is only skin-deep, it has the opposite effect. when everything a girl tries to be is for guys to want her, she's just another ugly girl. this song makes superficiality seem contagious. its pretty creative of them. its like a disease that causes its victim act as a slave towards society, playing the "young, dumb impetuous thing." oh and i love how 100 monkeys have "she'll leave a beautiful corpse" in the song. they totally captured the idea of how this generation wants to be frozen in their pretty make-up and perfect bodies. wow, i just reread this. i sound like a feminist, which i'm not. (No offense to anyone honesty) anyways, great job 100 monkeys! oh and check out the music video. its hilarious XD |

i first heard this song in what a girl wants when i was little. i immediately fell in love with it. the more obvious message is that the "half-life" is not living to the fullest, almost just wasting time. but i think there's an underlining tone weaved through it. i relate to his idea that reality sometimes "doesn't feel right." Maybe like you are so far away from where you had planned that all you can do look back to try to find that missing puzzle piece. anyways, great songg =] |

this is seriously one of my favorite songs ever. listening to it can immediately change my entire mood. it gets stuck in my head for hours. i really have no idea why. i don't necessarily think it's about a love relationship as much as a relationship with a lot of different people in your life. its just like at every corner there is another person expecting a part of you, pulling at you, until you believe that they would all be better off without you. well, thats my interpretation. it's probably not right though. |

wow... i hate how so many of these comments are about "posers" its not like any of us own this song and can determine who is worthy to listen and like it i'm very into folk music and honestly didn't like the band when they were more popular a few years ago my friend showed me this song and i instantly loved it. i only relate to a few of their songs including tis one. so excuse me... obviously, i must be a poser... i don't listen to the music by reading the genre on it first. i listen to it and give it a chance. anyways, this is a beautifully written song. great job my chemical romance =] |
