I think the meaning in pretty straightforward, but I see somebody who is an alcoholic/druggy, and one time or another, he went on a kind of rampage and flipped out on his best friend (a girl, maybe even "more than friends") that has always been there for him, maybe she is just afraid of him now, but he decided to leave and maybe even go to rehab, or just quit cold turkey, but he just can't hurt her again, so he leaves without telling anyone, thinking it's the best for her... it may sound stupid, but that's my take :P |

Great song, a lot of mainstream bullshit could learn from bands like these guys...like Dvita said, not much to interpret, it's a great story. Personally i love how it's "Old man with a young man's heart" and then "YOUNG man with an old man's heart" i think it makes the song that much better and unique. |

The man (in this song, at least) is not the only one at fault here, you cannot have a "fight" on your own. "Maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano" read in between the lines, it's a mutually destructive relationship. |
