| Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Zephyr Song Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
i think its about being high, hes flying away on the 'wind' in other words, hes up in the sky, 'coming down no not today' 'and in this perfect weather we'll find a place together' maybe he feels he can be with someone thats in heaven by getting high? just my thoughts and the pot reference is also obvious in the part.. 'Pick it up its not to strong - for you Take a piece and pass it on' just my thoughts, sounds like a joint. |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Don't Forget Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| i agree with on a plain. i like the idea that its about his idea of God, if you re-read the lyrics with the interpretation that hes talking about God, it really makes sense, beautiful song. | |
| Jack Johnson – If I Could Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
its not 'of this, my old friend' its 'i miss my old friend' i have the album. beautiful song im listening to it on repeat' i definently think its about a baby thats born and the father maybe? or someone close to the father is going to pass away in 2 weeks. it talks about how the baby was born 'just in time' in other words just in time for the father to meet the baby? it touches on subjects about the circle of life and how 'new life makes losing like easier to understand' its very touching, i love the part 'and though youve got to go we'll keep a piece of your soul. one goes out, one comes in' lovely |

| Maroon 5 – Sunday Morning Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
hands down my favourite line in the song is, 'and i would gladly hit the road, get up and go if i knew, that someday it would bring me back to you' i cant explain why i love that so much, it just hits home that if he knew he could go out and do all the things he wanted and still come back to her and for her to be there waiting, he would. |

| Nicki Minaj – Right Thru Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
the last part of the last verse is actually: Then You Start Dressing And You Start Leaving And I Start Crying And I Start Screaming The Heavy Breathing But Whats The Reason. Always Get The Reaction You Wanted Im Actually Fronting Im Askin You Somthing Yo Answer This Question, Class Is In Session, Tired Of Letting Passive Aggression Control My Mind, Capture My Soul Ok Your Right Just Let It Go. Ok You Got It, Its In The Can. Before I Played It You Knew My Hand. You Could Turn A Free Throw Into A Goal. Nigga Got The Peep Hole To My Soul. amazing song |

| its 'watching HOV's show' not 'watching home shows' | |
| Drake – Thank Me Now Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
The ATF is Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. such good flow in this song. in the first verse hes discussing being a rapper, what it takes, what comes with being famous. mostly the good things in the first verse. i guess his realisations of the rap game. he does get a bit cocky 'i must've been hard to watch, what a year for you niggas' 'fuck that old shit, im on new things' he also says 'at this point me is who i am trying to save myself from' i guess his head is getting a bit big, hes gettting a bit too big for his boots. in the second verse he talks about his relationships with women. while his in the rap game 'dedicating his time just isnt realistic' its pretty self explanatory. the hook hes basically saying 'you can thank me now' for all the entertainment hes provided. at the end he says 'and I know life is just a game in which the cards are facing down Im in the World where things are taken, never given how long they choose to love you will never be your decision and Im aware this could be the last time you listen so while Im still in this postion' in this part i think hes pointing out that its never going to be his choice if he stays famous, or stays loved by the public, thats always up to the media and the public. so hes saying while i have the chance to say it, 'you can thank me now' well thats my take on this song! |

| Secondhand Serenade – Goodbye Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
its not a band, its one guy, he writes all the songs/serenades for his wife, (or ex-wife now) and after shes listened to them he releases them as under his name secondhand serenades, because there secondhand after she listens to them. so beautiful and poetic :) |
|
| Eminem – Love The Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| why wouldnt she do this project? its shedding light on an extremely serious thing, domestic violence is something that shouldnt be ignored and her part probably reflects how she felt in the situation with chris brown, she wanted to leave him but its a vicious love hate relationship she couldnt get out of. and there doesnt have to be a lesson to be learned in the lyrics for the song to have meaning, sometimes thats just how life is. | |
| Kanye West – Power Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i couldve sworn i heard trippin off the powder, but i guess not | |
| Drake – Fear Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i actually really like the fact that he is just saying it how it is, theres no metaphors or analogies just the plain truth of how hes feeling, it makes it really easy to follow and therefore understand what hes going through. real refreshing |
|
| Jason Derulo – Whatcha Say Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i like the film clip, it really shows what the song is about, just questioning... 'what if?' what if he never met the girl hes now in love with? what if he never took the chance on love? he wouldnt have what he has now... but then again hes missing out on alot of the pain that comes with a relationship | |

|
Can someone explain to me Kanyes part? For my number one, I, keep ya dumb fly, you fresh to def, you life after death. I'm resurrecting my gold Jesus of Nazareth, now we fresh as a Prince while they Jazzy Jeff. And you don't be saying shit when they asking questions (hehehe) And you be givin' me my space (hehehe) You don't be runnin' on myspace (hehehe) You know some other shit I hate? (whawhawha) Wha-wha-when they violate bu-bu, tonight man I ain't in the mood for it, don't matter who would, you would, look how you coordinated it, man that's my favorite. ???? |

| T.I. – Dead And Gone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
'i turn my head to the east i dont see nobody by my side, i turn my head to the west, still nobody in sight, so i turn my head ato the north, swallow that pill that they call pride, the old me's dead and gone, but the new me will be alright' in this part hes basically saying hes looking around him, but no ones there for him (maybe because of his 'gangsta' life, his loved ones are being killed), so he turns his head to the future (or even the sky/heaven where Philant is) and swallows his pride, so he can move forward and become a better person. this song is beautiful, i really like it |

| i also love the slow motion part at the end, just adds to the message | |
| Kanye West – Drive Slow (feat. Paul Wall, GLC) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i think its about not rushing to grow up- which includes not rushing to lose your virginity, its about a friend he looked up to ..' he told me dont rush to get grown, drive slowly' i also think 'drive slow' has a double meaning, they are saying dont drive too fast, because kanye's been through a car crash, its a piece of his wisdom, but he also means dont rush through life..'live today cause tomorrow man, you never know' this song is amazing, i love the trumpets are beautiful and add a cruisy vibe |
|
| Kanye West – Heartless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i really like The Frays cover to and i mostly listen to RnB and Rap. you should really listen to some of Kanye's other music and read the meanings to it. When you look deeper his music has so much meaning. | |
| Drake – July Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
such a good song, pretty self explanatory i think hes just talking about a love he had with a girl thats ending. the first verse hes talking about the start of their relationship- when they first let there guard down, yet they werent sure if they were a couple. then the next verse hes talking about his mistakes, and what went wrong. at the end hes saying he basically wishes he'd tried harder. 'Couple stares, couple texts, couple dates. Couple I think that we're readys. Couple I think we should waits...' i love it! |

| Kanye West – Through The Wire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
of course Kanye is cocky? havent you listened to ANY of his songs? 'What do you think my fuel was for all of these years?' If he wasnt the way he was no one would care as much about him. i quote 'You either love me or you hate me, and if you hate me, at least you know who i am' Most people that hate Kanye have some sort of respect for his music and what he does for Hip Hop and the black community. i for one think Kanye is an inspiration.. and i love his cockiness, he knows what his doing, and most of the fake ass rappers that say 'their so humble' are just lying to make people like them. For once we have someone that spits the truth no matter what and doesnt give a shit what people think of him, THANK FUCK FOR KANYE WEST! |

| Kanye West – Diamonds from Sierra Leone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
i read an interview with Kanye West, he said he wrote this song, he just called it Diamonds and it was basically based on Roc-A-Fella and the break up of them. But Mark Romanek and Q-Tip (directors) said it reminded them of the kids getting killed in Africa. Kanye didnt really know what them meant so they told him, they showed him and he wanted to find out more, so he researched it. Kanye said "I think that was just one of those situations where I just set out to entertain, but every now and then God taps me on the shoulder and says, "Yo, I want you to do this right here," so he'll place angels in my path and one angel will lead to another angel and it's like a treasure hunt or something. And I finally found the gold mine, which was the video "Diamonds (From Sierra Leone)." so all the people that dont understand what he was on about, thats basically it. i love kanye |

| Kanye West – Drunk and Hot Girls (feat. Mos Def) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this song is amazing. it seems so simple, a bit of a joke even... but mos def really completes it... 'Lot of dangerous necessity that people seek without regard. To where they are, the human heart is curious, above all things..' so very very true | |
