this song is so honest. i feel like most people are afriad to show these feelings.anyway i can relate to this song in a long-distance type of relationship way. ' i know the stars arent out tonight, but neither are we to look up at them. why does hello feel like goodbye?' he is singing that they can't be together right now on this night. and since they are not..the stars (which could resemble happiness and romance and all that ) arent either. when a couple is far away from eachother they can sometimes grow distant..why does hello feel like goodbye. from personal experience i believe that sometimes in these relationships one of the people become more distant while the other just misses them, craves them and can feel the difference of them being gone. it is overwhelming. i feel like ive lost everything when youre gone left remembering what its like to have you here with me. when you are the one that has to be home and they leave you..all you have around you are memories and reminders of them. and just thoughts of things youd love to be doing with them. and they become such a big part of your life..when they have to go away..you feel like you've lost alot..everything is taking it too far haha. so ofcourse..thats not making it easy 'youre not making this easy' plus maybe the other person isn't even showing a mutual missing feeling. people have got a weird way of showing and sharing feelings sometimes. anyway..i love this song. i have since i heard it about 5 summers ago. the end when he sings 'youre not making this easy' you can hear it in his voice he really means it...gooooood shit |

although i know the real meaning of this song is about the poisonus relationship she's had with another, how he has put her through so much and her hurt so much, she can't go back..she's torn. because she does love him but shes so heart broken and probably feels a sense of being raped after letting this guy in and then being forgoten and not appriciated. but these lines speak to me for a tottally different reason: 'theres just so many things that i cant touch, im torn' for me, those lyrics are about restriction and not being able to get what you want and how unfair it is. my parents restrict me from the only people that make me happy. they dont approve and get in the way of what i want. hard enough as it was for me and the relationship i had going with this guy...they added obstacles and these obstacles are what is stopping us from being togetehr. so he is right there, but i cant touch him. i can't have him. 'im all out of faith' these restrictions have really broken me down to the point where i have to give up the one person i love. its not right..its my life. why should i have to be denied what i want..becaue of my parents? its not like this guy is an asshole and treats me like shit and i go back to him...hes my bestfriend and means a lot to me. things could work, but theyre stopping me. i can't touch what i want. i am torn. |
