This song is everything to me. And only I will ever understand. I think this song is about someone who has left their friends(someone close to them, girlfriend, boyfriend) Its them telling them what has happened to them, how they are feeling now that they’ve left. I never, said I'd lie and wait forever If I did we'd be together now -now that they have left they are not going to wait for them to see them again, they’ve moved on, they know that if they wait for them that they will be waiting for forever. I can't always just forget her But she could try - something reminds him about her where ever he goes and he can’t even try to forget, but he knows she can at least try to forget him because she has her friends still but he’s alone now in a new place and he is always reminded of her, he nothing else and no one else to distract him. At the end of the world Or the last thing I see You are Never coming home Never coming home -this part here i think is him thinking about how she is seeing life now that he’s gone, he thinks she thinks that when the world ends or when she dies that he will be the last thing going through her mind. He is never coming home, he sings this in a way that’s almost pleading to himself that he isn’t coming back home. Could I? Should I? And all the things that you never ever told me And all the smiles that are ever ever... -he’s considering suicide because he feels so depressed and alone after leaving. Could he go through with it and should he even try. He’s then thinking about all the moments, things they’d talk about and smiles they were going to share if he had stayed. Ever... so amazing actual. i'm not christian and i don't believe in god, but this band is just one of the greatest..am i right? this song if fairly self explanitory. Amy says she's all alone Says the world doesn't even know About the pain she hides inside Says happiness is just a lie Smell the roses; throw them down Just whisper; don't make a sound - so this girl called amy is feeling like there no point to her life and shes feeling lonely. she feels like no one she knows even sees how much she is hurting and doesn't understand people who are happy. she cant even see the beauty in a rose..i dunno? Don't want the world to know the truth You've been broken and abused By you - she feels like she cant tell anyone about how shes been hurt, someone close to her has hurt her. Amy says, "I see you laughing at the rain that hits your face With your arms stretched open soaking in the love In a world I find so hard you find so beautiful There's a hope in you deep inside for me." -(love this part. ^_^) i think this has stuff to do with god(if you believe in him i spose)amy knows someone, like a friend, who is in the rain(this could be a metaphor or something?) and she sees how happy her friend is, feeling the rain on her face(being close to god?)he friend find it so great and has all of this love in her and amy knows that she will find this love inside her self, its just deep inside of her and her friend can help her find it again(or god can help) The colors of her mind Bleed into each other As the morning melts the night And the stars enchant another - amy is confused about life(colours in her mind)the problems she has all bleed into each other and make one big problem, she feels worse at night time. this is what i think the song means: You and I got somethin' but it's all and then it's nothin' to me And I got my defenses when it comes to your intentions for me - so its about a guy and a girl and they mean so much to each other but the guy thinks he should leave her alone, because he did something bad to her (cheating etc, iunno) and when ever they get into a situation the guy doesn't want to talk about he trys to change the subject, its his sort of defence from her. And we wake up in the breakdown of the things we never thought we could be I'm not the one who broke you, I'm not the one you should fear - they realise that what they are doing is slowly breaking them apart. beacause of the girls personal problems she blames him for feeling bad, but the guy is saying that its not his fault she feels bad, and that she shouldn't be afraid of him because he never meant to hurt her so badly. We got to move you, darlin' I thought I lost you somewhere but you were never really Ever there at all - the girl needs help and hes trying to move her to somewhere where she can be helped. he always knew something was wrong with her and he thought he would be able to save her from her problems but he now realises that from the start he wasn't going to be able to do anything for her and what he has done to her has just made it worse. And I want to get free, talk to me I can feel you fallin' and I wanted to be all you need Somehow here is gone - he wants to be free from them fighting, so he thinks if she can tell him the truth it will help. he knows shes feeling bad and he wants to be there for her but he can't help because he screwed things up with her and now he knows that they can't be together, i think 'here' is the place where they are themselves with each other but that feeling has gone away. this bands pretty cool. i don't know much about them, but i love the way the guy sings it. the first 18 seconds makes me so happy. so my interpritation of the song is: Birds sing of lullabies and guide you to the orchard when you die. Should boredom arise, spend time with the wildlife. I think this part is about feeling lonely and when you think about life. You get bored with the same repeative life and slowly fade away from your friends/ relatives until you're alone, and the only sounds or voices you hear are animals..? sounds weird, but it makes sense to me. :3 Waking up to sounds may cause you to take a look around. Entertain your friends with audio of dead relatives. ... this part is like the realiseation that you're pushing people away because of your lack of appriciation towards them when your wrapped up with your own problems. And the only things you ever talk about when you're with someone are memories of people you used to know, or who have died. If you spend a lonely night thinking about the people in your life. Just turn off the light. You've done that a thousand times. ... Being alone again and when your alone you just think of bad things you've done or have had done to by the people you know. the turning off the light part is just switching off your mind and trying to forget about it, although you've tried doing that a thousand times before. Teenagers are spending time out on the edge. I am spending most my time sleeping in my bed. The birds are singing from the trees. I listen to their melodies. ... You're friends are doing what teenagers do and want you to join them, but you just want to stay alone in bed away from everyone, because its easier that way. then the bird part reapears, maybe this is about suicide because at the start it was saying.. "Birds sing of lullabies and guide you to the orchard when you die" ..so listening to the birds is when you die (commiting suicide) so yeah thats what i think. peace out. |
