| Refused – Rather Be Dead Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Refsued being a Marxist band it's obviously talking about things such as government and capitalism He'd rather be dead than alive in a society that oppresses him, and then the chorus is basically talking about the struggles going to through just to be alive in such a society (obviously not literally). And then later saying although, i'd rather be alive. Meaning he wants to be alive, just not in that society. |

ofc they are punk, fool. They're actually officially labelled under post-hardcore, which is indeed a development of...punk! IDK how you can listen to this song and say they're not :P |

Waking up at 3am Drowning in a haze of broken dreams and broken promises Scared of making a fucking difference Could you answer me and tell me the truth Leaving this place So empty handed, beaten down With a bad taste in my mouth Until it falls apart Broken foundation, buried underneath and a smile to make the emptiness complete Puncture my ribs like something more with beaten, bruised and drunken heart Waking up at 3am Waking up at 3am Waking up to nothing Leaving this place So empty handed, beaten down With a bad taste in my mouth Until it falls apart Broken foundation, buried underneath and a smile to make the emptiness complete Puncture my ribs like something more with beaten, bruised and drunken heart Coins across the floor Seasons burden me And make the emptiness complete Broken foundation, buried underneath and a smile to make the emptiness complete Puncture my ribs like something more with beaten, bruised and drunken heart Broken foundation with beaten, bruised and drunken heart best song on the album :) (didn't mean to send this as a reply first time) |

| A Day to Remember – Mr. Highway's Thinking About the End Lyrics | 15 years ago |

ok just looked up why Tom Denney quit "To some of you this may come as a complete shock, and to others it will be nothing more than old news. However, we felt that what we're about to tell you shouldn't be left unsaid. Anyone who came out to see A Day To Remember on our last European tour, or the majority of our tour with The Devil Wears Prada probably noticed that something was different. Tom wasn't with us on our tour in Europe due to a broken wrist, and then was unable to complete the The Devil Wears Prada tour because it hadn't completely healed. Kevin Skaff (formerly of Four Letter Lie) filled in on both tours for us while Tom was healing up at home. Here's the real juice...before Tom's injuries forced him to leave the Prada tour, it was known that Tom was looking to settle down, focus on his recording studio, get married, and prepare to start a family sometime soon. When it was decided that Tom was leaving the tour due to his injuries, we also discussed his passion to continue being in the band. He told us he no longer had the drive to tour anymore. We all knew that he was genuinely over it, and we all collectively decided that it was best for him to just not be with us anymore. We flew Kevin back out a day later to fill in for the remainder of the tour." i guess the song isn't about him :P |

| A Day to Remember – Mr. Highway's Thinking About the End Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song to me seems to be about band members. At first i thought about the song "1958" which is about an ex-band member, (the numbers are the last numbers on his phone number, or so i read) and so thought maybe it's about the same thing, but then realised they're 2 different albums so i guess that seems a bit less likely. The album was released in 2009 which is also the same year Tom Denney quit, so maybe it's about him? I don't really know why he quit so that's just a little suggestion. But yea, "my highways thinking about the end" obviously refers to him touring on the road, so i guess it's undeniable that the song revolves around the band in some way :) |

They're not a Christian band >.> Really don't see why bands get labelled as a "Christian band" just because some of the members may follow that religion lol. But yea...fantastic song :) |

It's "Tied to the tsting of wills, WHERE my heart breaks and spills" instead of "AND my heart..." I listened to different versions to check (including live and acoustic) and you can definately notice it is in the acoustic version |

| Kids in Glass Houses – Matters At All Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I watched a "making of" to the video and the video is about the girl basically just thinking about being with the guy and wishing she was, however i don't think this is what the actual lyrics meanings were intended for. I agree with TheMillerJ about it seeming like there was a relationship but isn't anymore, and one person has moved on and changed whereas the other hasn't. I don't get what it means by "you'll wait until your first time, you'll wait until theres something wrong" though D: |
