I'm pretty sure "You make we wanna say Me a family, a house a family Ooh, can we be a family?" Should be "You make me wanna say Meet the family, Hows the family? Ooh, can we be a family?" It just makes more sense with the meaning of the song being about commitment |

I know what everyone said above is probably right but to me this song could be about a girl and a guy who were together but the girl wanted to be free to see other guys or maybe one guy because of the way he says "I press your lips And I taste everyone that you've had tonight" or "When he's inside you Know there's no room for me" But then on the other hand she realizes she's missing him. So even though she broke his heart or "kicked it aside" she is the one crying about it. And him being a respectable guy cant stand to see her cry but he saying she's the one that did this to herself "That's one thing about you I don't wanna make you cry Damn, girl Dry your eyes You stole my heart And then you kicked it aside" |

| This song so beautiful I listen to it all the time and never sick of it. I agree with all the So You Think You Can Dance references. To anyone who hasn't already: Youtube it. It totally compliments the song. Maybe it's just because of how into dance I am but it gives me chills every time I watch it. Especially the part when she sings "down" :) | |

| I agree in a way. The first time I read the lyrics it reminded me of my own struggle deciding which path to follow in life as far as a major/career. "Road signs were stolen Left here holding this flame Who stole my patience Who stole my way I'm lost I'm too tired to try" I feel like there are no clear paths anymore I'm lost and loosing my patience because I'm tired of searching. It is amazing how he puts such meaning into a few simple lines and that each song can be taking several different ways. He is an amazing songwriter <3 | |

Does anyone else think "Hope that time will take our lines away" should be "tide" and not "time"? That's just what I hear and it would make since with "You draw so many lines in the sand" not to mention his love for surfing and the shore. Still and awesome song and I can't wait for the album to come out! :) |
