| The Mountain Goats – Damn These Vampires Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Definitely a symbolic song, but I'd just like to say that I also love the story at its face value. Brave young cowboys, looking for the vampires who hurt them, most likely having killed someone close to them, and finally the find where they're hiding, opening the door to find "two young, savage things barely worth remembering", and then it switches perspective, and you see that the vampires hate living this way, and they're saying the same thing as the cowboys, "God damn these vampires for what they've done to me." | |
| The Stone Roses – Don't Stop Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I mean, I already figured the instrumentals were Waterfall backwards, but I was really impressed when I played it backwards and the same lyrics from Waterfall were there too. | |
| MC Lars – Hot Topic Is NOT Punk Rock Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| No. Just no. Don't fucking ever. | |
| Say Hi – Super Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's meant to be ironic. I think it's not him describing the person, I think it's the subject of the song talking to themselves. They're a miserable person who hates, their life and the monotony of it, and to keep from just being depressed to the point of not being able to function, they have to say this to themself, assure themself that what they're doing isn't pointless, even though they know that it is. | |
| Siouxsie and the Banshees – Burn-Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Best song about pyromania ever. | |
| Voltaire – The Man Upstairs Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Kittier, not that I don't agree that this song is just a song about annoying neighbors, but I couldn't resist. The Lady Across the Hall Who Always Knows What's Going On: Represents Jesus, or possibly the Virgin Mary. Maccu Piccu Down the Stairs Who's Selling Crack From Door to Door: A demon, trying to get people to give into temptation, or "spiritual crack" 14B Refugees: Saved Souls, or possibly 14B is purgatory 14A Transvestite Whores: Demons. They were once angels, but the chose a different guise. |

| The Meteors – Little Red Riding Hood Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Fucking amazing cover. | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Open Your Eyes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I always thought it was "As his credit card shut up your eyes", implying she left him for a wealthier man. | |
| Marilyn Manson – Mind Of A Lunatic Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Oh, and just so you don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a hardcore rap fan yo. The Geto Boys just happen to be one of my favorite groups. I'm actually more into goth rock. And while I may not like Marilyn Manson, I don't dislike him either. His cover of Sweet Dreams was pretty badass, the rest of his music, can't really get passed his voice, but he seems to be a pretty talented lyricist. I just happen to think this is a terrible cover of one of my favorite songs. | |
| Marilyn Manson – Mind Of A Lunatic Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
See, now you're just making ignorant generalizations. That's a whole different type of rap, that's modern rap which is a big fucking middle finger to what it used to be. The Geto Boys were from the street, born and raised on the streets, they were the real deal. I dare you to try to find a picture of them in white fur and gold chains. They probably didn't make enough money for chains, like most good artists, they never received a lot of mainstream success, due to graphic lyrics depicting rape, sex, murder, violence, drug use, and necrophilia. But you know what else? The rappers that do wear the gold chains and shit, they wear it because they're proud of how far they've come. These aren't the privileged white kids whining about how nobody understand them, these are people born dirt fucking poor, so when they make it big, can afford to move out of a shitty neighborhood, fuck yeah they're going to show it off, because now they actually have something to show off.[/rant] Well this is fun. | Marilyn Manson – Mind Of A Lunatic Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I'd be willing to bet the the Geto Boys have seen more violence up close and personal in their lifetime than Manson has, if anyone's pretending it's Manson. | |
| Green Day – Homecoming Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I don't think Rock N Roll Girlfriend really interrupts it, I think it's meant to be a dream sequence. In "Nobody Likes You" he's falling asleep, Rock N Roll girlfriend is Jesus dreaming of what life was supposed to be like in his mind, instead of the way it's turning out. | |
| Tupac Shakur – Hail Mary Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah, hail Satan, I bet you think you and him are going to be real cool when you're in hell together. He's gong to ass rape you with a pitchfork, and you're going to burn forever. And you're calling us retards? | |
| Say Hi – A Hit in Sweden Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Are you sure? I think it sound more like "The snap of the twigs And the squeal of the cliques" |
|
| Lunascape – Raven Star Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Nuh, that movie doesn't deserve this song. It was more like a parody of the book than an adaptation of it. | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Vampires In Blue Dresses Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Actually he says "should", you can hear it more clearly on the live version. | |
| Eminem – Amityville Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I really love this song, one of my favorites by Eminem, although if I had the choice I would have Bizarre's portion rewritten, if nothing more than because they seem to have nothing really to do with the rest of the song. | |
| Eminem – Amityville Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Kind of ironic someone with the name "daughterofdarkness" would be bothered by a few explicit lyrics. | |
| Eminem – Amityville Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Haha, that one's my favorite too. | |
| You, Me, and Everyone We Know – Carolina Heat Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Nah, it's like a play on words. "Swallow pride", "ate much better than the rest", that's how I saw it anyway. | |
| Bauhaus – All We Ever Wanted Was Everything Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I couldn't tell you why, but every time I hear this song I always imagine it being played in the wake of some big fight between lovers, or best friends, or something of the sort as both sides are starting to calm down and the hurting replaces the anger. | |
| You, Me, and Everyone We Know – Colorful Language Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I may be wrong, but I always heard the line as "Parts lacking hard" rather than "parked lacking heart". I dunno though, seems to make more sense with the rest of the song... | |
| Marilyn Manson – Mind Of A Lunatic Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Marilyn Manson didn't even sing it. He just talked. And anyone who thinks Manson is a serious form of art is just kidding themselves. His lyrics are shyt, and someone needs to let him know that screaming and moaning =/= singing. Rap is just a serious a form of art as any, but really no music should be taken so seriously. | |
| Uk Decay – For my country Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Actually, these aren't the lyrics to "For My Country", these are the lyrics to "Unwind". The lyrics should read (to the best of my knowledge): A blaze in their eyes Death is their glory Oh the honor so great The safe or esteem? To relive the stories Spitting tales of hate Smashing and crashing Escape the terrain Count up the mem'ries We'll go back again For the honor I don’t ask why Her majesty's pleasure's my honor to die For - my - country For - my - country A blaze in the fields Their death is my glory Oh, for the regal return To swim in the blood To see the blood of champagne To see the home fires burn We’re smashing and crashing Escape the terrain Count up the mem'ries We'll go back again For the honor I don’t ask why Her majesty's pleasure's my honor to die For - my - country For - my - country We’re smashing and bashing Despite the terrain Count up the memories We'll go back again My sword will never sleep in my hands Until we build Jerusalem in this green and pleasant land For the honor I don’t ask why It's my pleasure, my honour to die For my country For my country |
