you're super
you really are
just like your tball trophy says
you've come so far
it's just a matter
of a little time
before you've got
the dog, the tots, the pretty wife
the postman waves
the cashier smiles
the boss is glad
you please the clients
you take a bow
the crowds all cheer
it took a lot of super stuff
to get you here
you're super
you really are
you'll talk the meter maids
out of the parking fines
you'll read the paper
you'll sip your mug
while little bob and janie
stay between the lines
the postman waves
the cashier smiles
the boss is glad
you meet deadlines
you take a bow
the crowds all cheer
it took a lot of super stuff
to get you here
to get you here
you really are
just like your tball trophy says
you've come so far
it's just a matter

before you've got
the dog, the tots, the pretty wife

It's definetly sarcastic yes, but don't you guys think that he might be reffering to her as a slut or vixen, In the beggining she has a Tball trophy obviously means she good at that and how it explains that the postman is waving and the cashier is smiling and her boss is glad<---she pleased her "clients", also saying how she doesn't just stop there she also talks her way out of tickets and the sips her mug while looking at the paper as if it's nothing and I'm not really sure about the Bob and Janie thing probably that her kids are nice little kids and they stay in between the lines they're not bad. So basically I guess this "super" girl is demeaning herself even though she has what we most perceive as the perfect life and that's why he's saying yeah your "Super" for doing all those things.
I don't think the song is about a woman, especially when he meantions "it's just a matter of a little time before you've got the dog, the tots, the pretty wife." And the reading of the paper and sipping the mug is like a description of a picture perfect family during the 50's. The wife would be making the breakfast while the husband would be reading the news and drinking his coffee before he leaves to work.

i think this song is totally sarcastic. "you're super" - ha, super JERK!
It's about what most people aspire to be and do, yet he's making it sound so mediocre and almost mocking people like that for thinking they're so fantastic
Haha. Sweet song.
I love this song, it has such an awesome beat.
lovelovelove.
this was, like, the first song i heard by them, and i was kinda turned off at first. but then the beat wouldn't get out of my head, so i needed to listen to it over and over again and i got so addicted i had to download some other songs
This song is saying You have a job You gotta shitty car You please your boss People wave and smile. You're incredible. wink wink nudge nudge
This whole sone is sarcastic, the first time I heard it I thought it was about a boy to a girl, that were in love, and the boy thinks the girl is super.
Boy, was I wrong. Haha. This song is great. Say Hi To Your Mom is amazing.
it's saying all the stuff people aspire to be, is just really lame and contrite.
People do all kinds of things with no real meaning behind them just so everyone thinks they're 'super'. It's all really sarcastic and basically saying there isn't anything special about what they've done in their life because there are a billion other people and more who get the same exact treatment and have done the same exact thing.
