| I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business – Misery Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Remember when goodnight meant rest? Now I lay awake most every night Our home, and stress, rain tears through them It puts us to bed at separate times So when we're flat broke and done pretending life is going to change with the pressure building, I hope that day, you will say, "Baby, our love is worth the misery." I'm a fool with mad desire Struck gold and let it ride on our wager fixed life So its a quarter after midnight and I've been driving through a desert for sometime And all I want is you just laying next to me And not an empty bucket seat So when we're flat broke and done pretending life is going to change with the pressure building, I hope that day, you will say, "Baby, our love is worth the misery." When we're flat broke and done pretending life is going to change with the pressure building, I hope that day, you will say, "Baby, our love is worth the misery." Comfort is closing your eyes, not waiting on disaster always and most of the time So when we're flat broke and done pretending life is going to change with the pressure building, I hope that day, you will say, "Baby, our love is worth the misery." When we're flat broke and done pretending life is going to change with the pressure building, I hope that day, you will say, "Baby, our love is worth the misery." |

"When you hardly have a heart, but you need it just to break." I love that line, it catches my attention every time I hear it. |

| Yeah, for sure. | |
| Jonny Craig – Become My Life Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I personally think this song is about his addiction to certain drugs and how he wishes to cleanse himself of the darkness in his life (drugs). Ironically, at the beginning of this song he professes: "I can't remember the last time I was this high." Obviously Mod Sun is an infamously heavy weed smoker and they were probably high off that, but still quite funny. | |
| Emarosa – The Game Played Right Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Contrary to popular belief, I believe these are the correct lyrics. haha The record is broken. And these cheap words you're hearing, (We all know you've heard it all before...) They keep our souls aligned I wonder how she tastes It tastes My ego never felt so good Her dress fell faster, and we all know what comes after I feel this night has begun This fight isn't won Don't get me wrong Is there anyone who can make me see, help me breathe? Is there anyone who can make me feel alive inside? Sink or swim is all I know tonight Well, take me to the bed, it feels so right Wake me up The slow short way that I place my hands on your waist Don't tell me to stop It calls me out I feel this night has begun This fight isn't won Don't get me wrong Is there anyone who can make me see, help me breathe? Is there anyone who can make me feel alive inside? Sink or swim is all I know tonight Well, take me to the bed, it feels so right Wake me up You honestly believe you meant something to me? I thought you knew the game Collect your shit, deal with the shame No tears to make it stop The real love has dropped The road from here is long And think about how I did you wrong How I did you wrong Take me to the bed Because it feels so right, feels so right Take me to the bed tonight, tonight Now, we move, so much faster than before Straight to my room And baby, you can knock down the door But I'm still waking up And these self inviting whores these self inviting whores make me bring out the sun Your body's played its role, its role in my game And now I can't believe I've done it. But somehow I still feel, I still feel so far gone. |

| Circa Survive – Backmask Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah it definitely sounds like Seed's Depression but I think sea's depression makes more sense and sounds better. Thanks man, some of it is hard to make out. | |
| Circa Survive – Lazarus Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song couldn't be more obvious. It's clearly about Anthony's fame. He's saying he doesn't blame anyone if his music doesn't appeal to them anymore and that he thinks of himself as a fad. that one day people will forget him and he's just not certain how he will feel about it when that day arrives. And while many people like his band right now, and his name is out there and many people know who he is; it still leaves him lonely because he doesn't have many friends or time to do the things he used to because of the band and all the things that come with the fame. Well that's just my theory, it could be something completely different. | |
| Circa Survive – Stare Like You'll Stay Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think you actually did a good job, great song btw. | |
| The Starting Line – Need to Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"I stare at strangers subtly Reading and softly speaking When Princeton's boards, one sits by me Sir, can I ask you something?" i believe kenny wrote this part to stress that he needed this question to be answered, and a Princeston student sits by him it hints at maybe he's asking someone smarter than himself in hopes that they could figure something out that has plagued him for so long. But if you notice he never answers the question or the narrator because its something he must figure out on his own. |

| Conditions – The End Of Progression Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
If we already knew who to be Time is something that we would't need should be If we already knew who to be time is something that we wouldn't need It's pretty obvious what this song is about. It's about straying away from the straight line, it's about making mistakes and evolving as a person. If you continue to play life safely without making any risks or trying to grow, then your life is wasted and you won't enjoy it as you would had you made those risks and mistakes in life. |

| Like Lions – We Can Make It Better Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Idk how you see: You were hard from the start but you got a good heart You were aching in your head when you say "it's time for bed" Little hard from the start but you got a good heart Little aching in your head when you say "it's time for bed". |

| Like Lions – Scared to Love You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
When I talk, it doesn't mean you have to listen Sometimes everything you say comes out wrong And I know the steps to make, I've been missin' But I promise I won't miss them anymore I won't miss them anymore, I won't miss them anymore 'Cause this time I tried to put myself in your shoes Yeah, well this time I'm not blind And It's time you knew I'm not scared to love you If I call it doesn't mean you have to answer It's okay, sometimes we need to be alone There is just one question left I have to ask you Do you think I'd let you down? I'd never let you down... This time I'll try to put myself in your shoes Yeah, well, this time I'm not blind And it's time you knew that I'm not scared to love you Never let you down I'd never let you down This time, I'll try to put myself in your shoes This time, I'm blind And this time I'm not scared to love you |

| Swimming With Dolphins – Silhouettes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"When I count by the resistance I bend in shapes in ways I never knew So I'll try to post from my existence Yeah I'll stop or start my heart if you ask me to I'll stop my heart and then I'll wait for you" It's actually... "When I can't bare the resistance I bend in shapes in ways I never knew So I'll try to postpone my existence yeah I'll stop or start my heart if you ask me to I'll stop my heart, and then I'll wait for you." |

"So hold him tightly to your eyes And pull the wool over your eyes No matter what, you'll always see, The outline that is left from me." I actually hear.... "So hold on tightly to your vice and pull the wool over your eyes no matter what, you'll always see, the outline that is left beneath" |

I think it's: You wonder why we don't change and: So you said to let you go = So sad to watch you go. |

| Moneen – Waterfalls Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
To me this is about a guy that tries to convince the girl he loves that she shouldn't love him anymore because she deserves so much better; But she feels all alone, and lost and can't live without him. It's pretty self explanatory, but I felt I should post something on such a great ballad. |
|
| Swimming With Dolphins – Jacques Cousteau Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| yeah, I just posted that because it makes the most sense... it almost sounds close to "its going to be a little lonely summer night". I just can't tell. :P | |
| Circa Survive – Dyed in the Wool Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah, compendium really adds to this song. I just wish this album wasn't so mellow. It's hard to jam to this in my car, it's more of a chill album; in my opinion of course. | |
| Circa Survive – Dyed in the Wool Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I also think it's *you* understand, not you'll. makes more sense. | |
| Circa Survive – Dyed in the Wool Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I totally agree with wonderfulmetropolix. This song strikes a chord with me, no pun intended. It's very mellow, and it has a great message to it. | |
| Swimming With Dolphins – Sunset, 1989 DEMO Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I agree with the first part of your paragraph, but I don't think it has anything to do with bulimia. I think it could either have something to do with suicidal attempts by a friend or drug use. But the way the lyrics unfold, it's most likely about drug use. :) just my $0.02 |

| Swimming With Dolphins – Everything's A Miracle Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I actually think that's pretty interesting. No other artist that I know of actually does the vocal fluttering, and the way he does it is pretty cool as well, because if you listen close enough you can comprehend what he's saying and if you don't listen close enough; i still think it sounds cool. | |
| Artist vs. Poet – Alive Lyrics | 15 years ago |
