this fits perfectly in my life <3 I think it's about a relationship that has always been so perfect, but they're starting to have problems. The singer is trying to compensate and do everything to save these "Priceless" moments, but a relationship just doesn't work if one person isn't working within it. Idk, maybe my personal connection is getting in the way, but i see it as this desperate attempt to save seemingly perfect relationship <3

This is just my interpretation, but it really makes sense in my own life. I'm gay and I live in a place where if you are that way, you're dead. If not physically, certainly emotionally. Especially the references to sins and hiding, and "this is who we are." It's also like if they know that about you, they make you out to be a bad person as well, "forgive me for who I'm not." I know that's not what the song is supposed to be about, but that's what it means to me <3

I wrote a whole story based off this single song, the characters just unfolded in front of me as plain as lines on paper. It's a beautiful and terrible song, never fails to produce tears. As soon as i hear the first few chords, i think of my characters and their story. To me, this is their song.

First off, this is my all-time FAVORITE song, since i was 10 ^.^ yes im a dork. whenever i make playlists this is in them, every one. It really seems, to me, to be about a relationship going through a rough spot, but not on the verge of breakup. Maybe right after a fight, and they both realize they've said some things they wanna take back and start thinking of all the reasons they fell in love in the first place. The girl doesnt "want a conversation, i just wanna cry in front of you" meaning when she's upset she can always go to him, and he won't judge or rationalize, just hold her while she cries and say it'll be okay. She is just comforted by his existance... Beautiful song. In my weaker moments, though i've listened to it well over 1,000 times, it still makes me cry :')

Relient K – Curl Up & Die Lyrics

For me, this song was talking about a relationship where they've gotten to that stage where everything's out in the open and raw, and they have to choose to stay with each other or not. In the beginning he seems to be talking about how he hurt or lied to her to find out everything about her, and she has some kind of past-demon that still hurts her now. He wants to help her, and give up everything to be with her ("Curl up and die") but she's not okay with that because she loves him and feels as if she doesn't deserve him and doesn't want him to give up his future for someone "damaged". He feels like he's trying to help, and he's already committed to the decision of giving up everything for her, but this just keeps hurting her more because she feels like she's ruining him because he can't/ won't give up or move on, and the remnants of perfection could be referring to the part of the relationship where everything was good and happy, and they didn't have the complicated pasts or commitments or futures to think of.

This is one of those songs that really hits me, where just listening to it floods me with emotion and makes me tear up. I love this song, even though i can't really connect to it with a specific memory like some others. I can hear the pure anguish and ripping pain and just... heartbreak in the singer's voice, which by the way is amazing in not just this songf but all of his songs. There are just some things that, although you can move on and get over it and just plain heal... you don't forget.

This is an incredibly emotional song. I can't listen to it without tearing up a little, even now. It reminds me specifically of The Uglies series (don't say it, cuz i already know. I'm a dork. ^.^) because of it fitting both symbolically and literally with the death of my favourite, beloved character, Zane. "There's no one in town, i know/ You gave them some place to go" always makes me think of Zane leading the rebellion outside of the city. If you haven't read the series, you should, it's fantastic. Sorry for giving away that part ^.^ I love how the most emotional lines in this song are spoken in whispers. "And if you were with me tonight/ I'd sing to you just one more time/ A song for a heart so big/ God wouldn't let it live." That always makes me listen, which i think was the point. I think this song could be for a partner, a family member, a friend... anyone close to your heart that you've lost. It is the sweetest song I've ever heard, and it always really hits home. It's just telling the loved one how much they meant, and how much they did for the singer, one last time. A beautiful, beautiful song.

I think it's sort of like a prostitute that doesn't WANT to be a prostitute, but needs to be. And the man is trying to help her and take care of her, and he wants her for more than just sex. I think it's still a love story, of sorts. They love each other, but the conditions and situation is a little different. That's what i thought of when i heard it.
