Just watched Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. In this movie, this is a quote from a scene: "You with the old gun, and me with the belt and the ammo, feeding you Jack! Feed me, you said, and I was feeding you, Jack." Peter Sellers is the star of Dr. Strangelove, actually playing 3 major characters. |

| Cold War Kids – Santa Ana Winds Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song (or at least most of it) is about Santa Ana winds. Santa Ana winds are these dry winds in California that can be hot or dry and supposedly they have a huge negative effect on people (hence, "Seatbelt sticks in the poison heat" line) Joan Didion actually wrote an essay about the Santa Ana winds in "Los Angeles Notebook". We were actually just reading this in my English class and it reminded me of this song. It makes me like CWK even more that they're well-read enough to even mention Didion. |

| Yeah, it's definitely "You're the voices swallowing...". There's a live version on YouTube now and it's easy to tell what he's saying. | |
| The National – Terrible Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
It's a terrible love and I'm walking with spiders It's a terrible love and I'm walkin' in its quiet company And I can't fall asleep without a little help It takes a while to settle down My shivered bones Until the panic sets It takes a ocean not to break But I won't follow you into the rabbit hole I said I would but then I saw your shivered bones They didn't want me to It's easier to tell when you listen to a live version, aka Pitchfork's session with them. |

| I think the "Venom..." is right, but I think the last line is : "Your voice is swallowing my soul, soul, soul" | |

| After "I'm so whoa-o-o-o-o-o-o", I think he says "amazed" after the third time. | |
