Guitarcheese could not have said it any better! Great meaning! You made a few mistakes. The future decides the roles we play and struggles to sell the past away the afterthought is staring back on better days cause our daughters and sons will live to pay for every mistake that we have made for every conviction we've betrayed let the children sing don't take this don't take this world away from me so are we condemned to waste away on answers that only time portrays a question we'll ask ourselves from here to eternity and will it be worth the price they'll pay for living their lives in our remains so how do you think we will explain when the children sing don't take this don't take this world away from me can we find a way to face today with an eye on the things to come cause mistakes we've made bring our decay and out chance to make a difference will be gone so this the price they'll pay for living in our remains so listen as the children sing. |

| Thanks dude! I have been wondering the past couple of weeks what the real meaning of the song is. | |

| This is a great song! This song reminds me of something that would be on "Page Avenue." Anyways, I have listened and listened to this song. And one can interpret this song in so many different ways... I interpret this song as someone feeling like they are "dead"- "But this graves too deep to ever make it out, I'd do anything, anything just to feel like I could reach the ground." But he or she does not accept it. They want so bad to be "alive" by chasing their dreams and not let anything get in their way (regrets). And, I believe they are comparing the feeling of being alive to an angel-"I'd do anything now. To spread these wings somehow. I'd scream these words so loud but they never make a sound." So, in the end this person finally reached what is to be "alive" and it took so much from them- "I'm alive, but I'm barely breathing now." That's just my interpretation. I would really like to know the real meaning. And hear other people's interpretations on this amazing song. | |
