this isn't exactly a song it is more like a quick dark story, i've found out that it's common of bauhaus to do this, like joy division's songs which where more like poems than songs. it's a great job i'm not arguing that, it makes you feel that you're the men whos being described by the words, but as i said before it's not exactly a song. |

ahhh i supose anyone of you are latin americans, am i wrong? the song express the words of a drunk person it doesn't mean anything aparentely but it repeats words that are common in alcoholics you know the sensation of being invincible, the flashback of memories, and the inevitable part where you start to say words without sense. the lyrics are "too easy" the music is a tribute to the indigenous people of central america |

it's about a soffocating search trying to find the reason of your existance, we all must pass trough this at some point, but, in this song the Ian shows a person who lives this under the presion and judgement of the people around him: the first to verses express the anxiousness and the feeling that you didn't had time to do what you wanted to do, that maybe something didn't allowed you to do it and know hat you have the chance to fix it up everyone demands you to be productive. the third verse just says recalls "everyone is bad, they don't give me time, they never do..." and the last verse it's just a explosion inside the head, initiated by all the actions in the previous verses. "I just can't be bothered to make an effort here at all"---it's like saying "let me alone i'll figure it out by myself"--- "People make you feel your contributions are too small"----but then you feel bad cause no matter how hard you try it will never be enough for society |

great song, it's like the robbie's version of "cuz you're gone" it's obviously about a girl who the singer loved so much, not necesary in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, maybe just afriend; unfortunetely he realized of his feelings too late, so the only thing he can do is wishing his best to his beloved girl. |

i agree with the stalker point of view, even if andy is popular or not the singer has a crush on him, "leave your number on the locker and i'll give you a call" he's obviously reffering to andy, he really wants so bad to go out with andy the "hey shut up" part gives the sensation that everyone even andy knows that the singer is gay, but he obviously doesn't care and still keeps singing his feelings for the guy |
