| Kate Walsh – Bury My Head Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I think that it could be interpreted also as someone who realizes that her time with him is limited. Like, she can tell that he still thinks about his last lover a lot, and it almost feels like she's sharing him with the last woman. But in the end, she just wants to stay with him and be loved with him, despite all her hesitations and all the drawbacks. | |
| Taylor Swift – Superman Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I can definitely relate right now. Sometimes it's just best to wait for someone. Especially if they're at a different stage in life than you. | |
| Evanescence – My Immortal Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I feel like this could be the death of a child. "When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears" like parents do. "when you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears" "I held your hand through all of these years" "you still have all of me". Just one way of looking at it. | |
| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I personally feel like this song could be directed at God. "Only you are the life among the dead" and "Frozen inside without your touch, without your love" "call my name and save me from the dark". I feel like it could also be directed at someone who makes her feel happy. | |
| Mazzy Star – Flowers in December Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Goodness, the guitar is breathtaking. And the tone of it. Goodness. | |
| Tim McGraw – I Like It, I Love It Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Well... this song is amazing. And it feels me with a lot of nostalgia. | |
| Tim McGraw – That's Why God Made Mexico Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song.... I grew up listening to it. So I can't believe that only one other person has commented on it. It's kind of sad, but not in a heartbreaking way. Because it tells the story of a woman being abandoned, and a man being abandoned by his wife as well, and the spouses that left feeling no regret. It's incredibly sad. | |
| The Spill Canvas – Charcoal Grey Above Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Goodness. This is beautiful. And heartbroken... obviously. It's kind of easy to relate to. | |
| The Spill Canvas – Money and Parallels Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Is it just me... or have they changed a bunch? | |
| The Spill Canvas – All Hail The Heartbreaker Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I love how he misused "comatose" and says "undecisive" instead of "indecisive". It almost adds to the desperation and... well... whatever else this song is that I can't name at midnight. Maybe bitterness? This song makes me feel quite bitter. But lovesick all at the same time.... Nick Thomas seems to be completely brilliant in his lyrics. | |
| Taylor Swift – Mean Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Yeah, it probably is childish. But it's her telling her bully that's she has succeeded despite their trying to hold her back. | |
| Eisley – Dream for Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love how much more intense this song is than their usual, usually the melody is much more whimsical. | |
| Kate Nash – Shit Song Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I really love the melody of this song! | |
| Kate Nash – Caroline's A Victim (Acoustic Version) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I like it... it sounds like an inside joke. | |
| Kate Nash – We Get On Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can completely relate. I love that about her music. I also love her choppy and almost... immature narrative in a lot of her songs... it's how people narrate now. I love her music. | |
| The Spill Canvas – Dust Storm Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It really kills me to see his beautiful lyrics disappear. | |
| Paramore – Conspiracy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"Please speak softly, for they will hear us And they'll find out why we don't trust them" I think it's someone sort of wrestling with themselves. Don't say what you're thinking, yet, because they could hear you. You don't want them to know you don't trust them. "Speak up, dear, cause I cannot hear you I need to know why we don't trust them" Its practically saying that you don't know why you don't trust them. Why don't you trust them? You want to know why. "Explain to me this conspiracy against me" You feel like everyone is turning against you. Everyone who said they would be there for you. "And tell me how I've lost my power" You used to have impact on how your friends treated you and spoke to you. But now the won't listen to anything. "Where can I turn? Cause I need something more Surrounded by uncertainty, I'm so unsure" You don't know who you can confide in. You're confused, and unsure of how your own friends think of you, and what they are saying about you when you're not there. "Tell me why I feel so alone Cause I need to know to whom do I owe" You feel like everyone has turned against you. Whom do you owe to your life being stable before? Or possibly, who caused this? "Explain to me this conspiracy against me And tell me how I've lost my power" Like an actual conspiracy, you feel like someone (your friends) are conspiring against you and plotting ways to get you into trouble or make you miserable. "I thought that we'd make it Because you said that we'd make it through And when all security fails Will you be there to help me through?" "Explain to me this conspiracy against me And tell me how I've lost my power" |

| Paramore – Misguided Ghosts Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me it's about loneliness. Especially with what I'm going through right now, I feel like "one of those ghosts". Like floating around, trying to find someone to rely on, to be friends with when the last ones didn't work out and broke your heart. I can sort of feel the loneliness in her words. The end almost gets more hopeful, but also more heartbreaking. "The ones we trusted the most, pushed us far away" always gets to me. |

| Paramore – Misguided Ghosts Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Love this song. I love the emptiness that it shows. I think her voice and lyrics convey everything. I also love the acoustic in this, it's beautiful :) | |
| Paramore – Turn It Off Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me, the chorus (And the worst part is, before we get any better we're headed for a cliff, then in the freefall I will realize I'm better off, when I hit the bottom)means that it gets really bad, we hit the bottom, and then we realize that this experience will make us better. It will help us become a better person. You aren't so cocky when you hit rock bottom. The tragedy, it seems unending I'm watching everyone I looked up to break and bending I think that this means that people you once held on a pedestal are now real people, instead of who you thought they were. Like losing child-like naivety. We're taking shortcuts and false solutions Just to come out the hero. I think this means that we are losing our morals and that we want to seem like we are better than others. Well, I can see behind the curtain (I can see it now) Obviously this means that you can now see what is happening. The wheels are cranking, turning It's all wrong, the way we're working Towards a goal that's non-existent It's not existent, but we just keep believing. This part, I don't think it's about God, or believing or not believing in God. I think it's about believing that we are better than we are, and looking for false materialistic goals. But that's just my point of view, since I am a Christian. I wanna know what it'd be like To find perfection in my pride To see nothing in the light I'll turn it off, in all my spite In all my spite, I'll turn it off. I want to know what it would be like to be so oblivious to the world and so stuck up that I could see nothing but myself. I don't know they're turning off, but I think whatever it is it's in spite against God for the circumstances in life. This song to me is about waking up and seeing the world for what it really is. Cold and arrogant, with constant disappointments. |

| Paramore – Ignorance Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I love how Brand New Eyes is so strong. And how most of their songs are just being brutally honest. Brutally. "Ignorance is your new best friend". Obviously, people are more concerned about what it meant to Paramore. But I think it's also important to what listeners get from it. Me, I feel like it is about a best friend who suddenly hates you and starts spouting nonsense and telling everyone you're a bad person. And yet they show no signs of recognition to you in public, and then they tell you things as if they're the only person that matters. Like you can't feel. Even when you didn't do anything and they're judging you for things they have taken out of context. Like "Where's your gavel, your jury? Whats my offense this time? You're not a judge, but if you're gonna judge me, well sentence me to another life". Sorry for the rant about what it means to me... It's just kinda personal to me. That is why I love this song. Anyone can really relate if they're frustrated. |

| The Spill Canvas – Self-Conclusion Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song moves my soul... it touches it more than any other song of theirs. Which means a lot because their songs all move me. I just love how he says "We all flirt with the tiniest notion of self-conclusion in one simplified motion. You see the trick is that you're never supposed to act on it, no matter how unbearable this misery gets!" And that is sorta how I feel. Suicide is an option when you're depressed, but it isn't. Especially when you think about what it'll do to someone at least. Which is what I think he is trying to do. Show her that someone cares. And it just moves me so much. | |
| Paramore – Brick by Boring Brick Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| To me, this song means that while you're a kid, you can build up walls or a fairytale world. But someday when you're old enough, it'll come back for you. It will haunt you. Maybe it is just me (I am also judging off of the music video). The main character of the video seems to be a little girl full of innocent naivety. Maybe she had a bad home life, and had built her world up. Hayley, in the video seems to be the main character when she's older. She's tired of who she was. She's grown up after her own world turned on her, and her fragility has broken. She's digging the grave for her old self. At the end she throws the doll in the whole with the little girl as if to say "it's done. I don't care that it's gone." And she just walks away, learning from it. That is what led me to my interpretation of the song and lyrics. | |
